How grow light works? IKAAMA grow light has the following specifications - 36 total lamp chips in total, with 24 red lights and 12 blue lights. BLUE LIGHT wavelength is 460nm, influences the formation of chlorophyll, enabling the plant to intake more energy. Plants that receive plenty of blue light grow with strong, healthy stems and leaves. This process is called photomorphogenesis. RED LIGHT wavelength is at 660nm, contributes to the optimal development. It’s essential to a plant’s early life for seed germination, root growth, and bulb development. It also makes the plant yield better results when flowering. Powerful Clip: The grow light clip can be attached to any compatible surface of up to 2.5 inches. It's made of high quality materials. The clip provides a very strong grip and won't come loose for a very long time. Warm Tips: 1. Would be better to keep the distance between the light and plant about 70cm. 2. In general, it is recommended that the plants receive exposure for 16 hours during the seedling/growth phase, 8 hours of rest; the nutrition phase receives 18 hours of exposure. 6 hours of rest; during the flowering phase, 12 hours of exposure and 12 hours of rest.

Grow your plants indoor!
The winter in New York is CRAZY long!I brought a bag of strawberry roots and a small little blueberry tree, and hope my son will see the whole progress of growing. I was so frustrated that New York was still snowing even in April!! I had to move all the plants inside house, but even with higher temperature indoor, they still need some helps on the sunshine/lights. I purchased this LED grow lights and hope it would work.It did! I see some more new leaves and stems growing out of the soil, both my son and I are so so happy!I think this grow light will still help even Spring/Summer is coming, as New York always has super LONG and COLD winters!

Very good. Saved my big old plant.
My huge 10 year old umbrella plant outgrew its sunny spot in a south facing window so I had to move it to a darker northern corner. It was not adjusting to the low light conditions and kept dropping leaves daily. I ordered this to try and save my precious baby. It was super easy to set up, just plug into a USB converter box, clip onto the edge of the plant basket and turn on. I'm using the timer for 6 hours per day and my umbrella plant has already stopped dropping leaves. It actually has a bit of new growth! I'm so pleased with the results. I may order another one to help with starting my seeds indoor to later transplant into the garden when the ground warms up.

I wonder if Prince had one or two of these lights...
I am hoping that this light will help supplement light for a couple of orchids, i.e., help to foster some spikes. The plants are pretty healthy but have not produced any flowers in a couple of years.Update: After about 2 weeks at 6 hours a day, the plants are healthier looking and one has thrown a spike. I am pretty happy with this purchase.

DID NOT WORK FOR ME!
I BOUGHT THIS THINKING I WOULD BE ABLE TO GROW FRESH CATNIP THAT I HAVE BEEN GROWING FOR A LONG TIME. MY PLANT LIGHT DIED AFTER USING IT FOR SOME TIME SO, I THOUGHT I WOULD GET THIS AS A NEW AND IMPROVED ONE. WELL IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL! THE PLANTS DIED AFTER 2 WEEKS AND THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS THAT LIGHT. I HAVE BEEN GROWING CATNIP FOR YEARS! I STILL HAVE THE LIGHT AND IT STILL GOES ON FINE BUT, IT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!

Would not recommend buying these
I bought 2 of these. Both the "upgraded" model. The timer only shut it off, never back on. I had a hard time getting the arms to stand up. One broke almost immediately. Neither did a thing for my flower seedlings.Unfortunately I let my granddaughter play with the boxes so I cannot return. Ugh

Works well for short height plants, timer isn’t the best.
Works great for small office plant that needs high amounts of sunlight. Only complaint is that the “timer” function isn’t that reliable as setting a 12hr run time doesn’t seem to always work, so I just end up leaving it on until I return to my office the next morning.

Stopped working after a few months.
I purchased these lights in Nov of 2018. They stopped working in April 2019. They worked just fine until this month. Now they don't turn on but rather flicker briefly when I try to turn them on. A real bummer.
