Ran this for 30 minutes with the windows up, temperature dial set in the middle to get air through the AC evaporator coils and heater core, and set to recirculate. I did this with the engine off and key in run position so fan would blow, but could probably be done with engine running if concerned about running battery down. I first replaced the cabin air filter and the vehicle had been detailed before we bought it so it was clean. Seemed to help the smoke smell that we started to notice a while after buying it with no smokers in it. Haven't ridden in it lately to see if it needs it again, but it did make a significant difference after running it.

We purchased a house that a person had let alot of LARGE dogs live in, and apparently let them use the bathroom 24/7 inside. The smell was horrendous, but with a few treatments with this thing the smell was gone (plus cleaning up the actual "bad" spots). We had one bedroom that we had to treat 5 or 6 times but it was BAD.
