Spear & Jackson - Spray and Leave Concentrated Mould, Algae and Lichen Remover - 5 Litre

I use this on a mobile home and it saves me a lot of work every year. Cleans off most of the dirt and mould with one spray and the rest with a little brushing.

Worked a treat.1 treatment and within 24 hours the green was gone and we were able to repaint the fence.3 months later still moss/mold free.

It does what the instructions say. I bought the concentrated version I used 1 part solution to 4 parts water and was pleased with result. My fence was in a really bad state with algae and mould , hadn’t been touched since my husband died, and I am trying to bring it back to what it was.

I can't honestly say that this has made any difference to my Indian stone patio tiles.

Obviously I think that this product works as I have bought it more than once. Although 5 litres may not sound much it does require diluting 4:1 and actually makes 25 litres which will treat a substantial area. It's simple to use with a garden sprayer and simply needs to be sprayed over the area that you need to clean. It works progressively and gradually, but quite quickly, cleans the area and keeps working for months. There are other brands that do a similar thing but I suspect they all use the same chemical (which is child and pet friendly) but tend to cost more (a lot more in some cases). This product does all I ask at a reasonable price.

I have around 20 fence panels and all have green algae, some worse than others. I tried this product. It advises to brush off the worst algae first. But I couldn’t be bothered. I used an electric spray gun on all the panels. The following day every panel was clean. There was the odd bit of green on a couple…but very slight. I used nearly all the 5 litres on 20+ panels so I was impressed.I would recommend this product.

If you spend hours pressure washing around your paths and garden I recommend you try this. We only pressure wash every 3-4 years since using this as it keeps the lichen and algae away. We used it 3 years ago on garden shed roofs and haven’t had to repeat it since. It killed all the moss and we just had to sweep it off after about 3 weeks (when the weather improved). We are surrounded by mature trees and woodland and what a difference it makes.We recommend it to everyone and they see the difference very quickly in their gardens and buildings too. We’ve used the dilute yourself as well as the ‘as it comes’ with the same results. It’s 100% effective in a very short period of time. We used it on the top of a decorative wall and the algae was gone in 3 days.I do like to pressure wash - I find it very therapeutic but I do give in around the end of March and feel I’m cheating with Spear & Jackson 😀
