I recently got into African food after I tried some. There are barely any African restaurants in my area, and I couldn’t find this product anywhere. Anyways, I thought I’d buy this red palm oil online and make my own dishes. This is my first time purchasing and trying red palm oil. Straight out of the bottle it tastes of very mild carrots. Barely any taste to it actually, so I am confused as to why a lot of people say it tastes bad. The oil is not as red as I thought it would be. I am not sure if it was refined or not. It is a little chilly by me, so I received it in it’s solid form. Anyways, I look forward to trying it in my cooking.

This palm oil is used for religious purposes also it is great for cooking certain foods. I do not have to put tomatoes paste when I am using this oil and only a little oil is required for cooking.

not sure of the health benefits but it's a good product since it doesn't add any additional flavor when you use it. the only problem I have is I need to take it to slightly above room temperature to pour it out

This product is red which is different, for sure. The flavor is unique and makes nice change. I have just started using it and at this time am mixing it with my vegetable oil, just to use up the vegetable oil.

I grew up in West Africa so I know first-hand what a good palm oil tastes and looks like. One thing for sure it is NEVER orange in color as this one is (see picture below). The picture used in the advert here shows real authentic palm oil with its red color, but I got the nasty orange color thing from the seller.Good palm oil congealed or not always is red in color. Well produced West African palm oil mostly does not congeal except perhaps in our American winter.Amazon should remove such deceptive sellers from their site!

Being from West Africa, I've used Palm Oil all my life. I bought this one from amazon a few days ago to make a senegalese dish and I love it.It came out perfectly and the taste is delicious.Just give it a try.I was glad I found it on amazon.

The product in the picture makes it look like its in an oil state all the time when in reality it is solid at room temperature. I do not mind this it is a little deceiving but it is not easy to get out of this kind of container so I might have shopped around more.My biggest problem is it arrived in a bottle with no label, just a sticker saying its red palm oil. This seems sketchy and I am considering returning as I want the information the label provides as a new user of the product.

Great oil to use in making sauce and also steaming vegetables also great for your skin most people may not like the smell and taste but not everything gona have great taste
