Originally got this to trap a raccoon that was coming into our cat's back shed room and literally sleeping on top of his house. Never did trap the raccoon but I did trap....the cat. Atleast I know the trigger mechanism works. I eventually just returned it because I'm accepting the raccoon I'm after is too wily for this. He also hasn't been coming around often so it's less of a concern now. However, if you have animals that are constantly in your vicinity, this is great. Easy to setup and get it armed once you learn it. Would recommend.

work great, could have been a little stronger

First coon I caught bent the trigger plate and the trigger rod. They need to use a stronger metal. I must say that the seller contacted me a few days after I sent in my review and that helped my feelings. The problem lies with the manufacture and not the seller. They offered me a refund.

Out of the box some pieces were out of align and had to be corrected before putting it together. Finally got it set up and the cage is not very sturdy but we went ahead and tried to use it. It was able to trap an animal… a stray cat and not the fox we were after. It took the cat about 30 minutes to pull the back of the cage loose and escape. If it can’t hold a small cat it surely won’t contain a larger wild animal.

Where do I start? About the 7th Day that the trap was set in my backyard it caught a raccoon. But the raccoon figured out how to open the other end where the spring clips hold it in place. He pulled and pushed just enough so that the corner allowed him to escape through it. I will wire it shut at both corners, and that should fix the problem. Otherwise, it kind of worked.

Metal trap arrived on time & was easy to set up with NO tools! Caught 3 Racoons & 2 Possums the first 2 nights. One Bull Racoon tried it's best to tear up the cage but it stood up to the abuse & is set & ready tonight #3. I followed earlier review's suggestion to zip tie the front & back panel frames to the cage which prevents an aggressive animal from kicking the front or back end out. Painted black is also good. Easily folds back up for storage if desired. Racoons have been climbing atop our pool cage & using as a trampoline causing damage climbing up & down so this is already a great investment. Recommend for sure.

Did the job immediately. Worth the money.

I watched as a rabbit walked into the trap and step on the trigger for the trap and it didn't go off. The trap didn't work well, the trigger to set the trap isn't sensitive at all, I had to push hard for it to go off. The door to open the trap to let go an animal was also hard to open, it kept getting stuck
