Brilliant bit of kit, amazing results.
This gadget is very much worth the price. I was about to build my deck, I even had a bucket of screws ready, then saw this device. Thought I'd take a gamble and so glad I did. First thing to say is that the result looks so so much better than visible screws. I'm a pretty neat worker, but when putting two screws in each of seventeen decking boards across thirty two joists there are going to be a few that are slightly out of line or sunk in too far. With this you get the perfect depth, position and angle every time. Secondly, as it clamps on to the board, it makes positioning the board easier and makes the whole job a lot quicker. No measuring, just clampmon and whack the screws in. A lot of people have complained that the driver bits supplied are very soft and don't last long. With this in mind I bought an additional five driver bits as I didn't want to be stranded half way through the job. I was careful each time, didn't mash the bit into the screw head, didn't spin it at the end. The result - I got through the whole job with a single driver bit only lightly worn, and I used over 700 screws. The wood I was using wasn't the toughest, also not the softest. Sounds like other folks were being a bit heavy handed. It's not cheap, but if you've spent hundreds of pounds on materials for your decking the extra for this jig and screws is very worth it.

Great tool to have
What a great idea for hidden fixtures. I've heard a lot of song and dance about this jig and my thoughts are it's brilliant good value for money easy to use handy to keep for future projects great for use on my little deck.

Great fixture.
Excellent product. Screws cost a great deal more than conventional screws but the result is worth it.

Decent . Won’t strip bits if you know how to use drill
Yeah pretty good . Really like the hidden screw finish . Read loads of reviews saying the bits were soft or the screws cammed out. .someone even said the bits lasted 10 screws so I bought 3 extra just in case . I’ve just installed 750 screws from one bit using an impact driver . I reckon I could’ve destroyed the bit on 19 screws if I wanted but luckily I actually have a clue what I’m doing . Stop the driver as the shank reaches the collet and all will be fine . Go flat out until the bit cams out and you will be reaching for a new bit . Skill issues . What would be ace to make this better is if there was some way it could span two boards to clamp in warped boards also . Not a massive issue though

an easy to use decking tool
half way through a large 7x3.6 m decking this is a great peace of kit so easy to use looks great as you cant see the screws makes the job fast and efficient. i had read previous reviews about the bits i have limited experience at DIY so i perched spear bits but no need so far only used the one and each box of screws comes with two bits anyway so cant see what the problem is

Waste of time do not buy
I bought this jig because I wanted to conceal screws. The problem with it is that the crews they make you use are absolute garbage. I'd imagine with very soft wood they might work but overall poor quality. The steel is very mild and the square bit head thread easily. In addition, very ofter the screw heads would shear off due to the force of being driven in (not what you want a screw to do). The bit is an SQ1 which is a specialised bit I could only find from trend. The quality of their bits are also garbage. They wear down incredibly quickly and I had two of them shatter (newer had any of the bits do this). I am no expert but this really isn't a product I would recommend.

Drill bits are not accesible when worn out
As a trades person, I bought the Trend concealed decking jig over the Camo make, I have now ordered the Camo jig as the single drill bit that comes with the Trend decking jig has lasted no longer that approximately 100 screws, I called Trend to purchase additional drill bits to be informed the next batch would be ready around June 2024., this being April. Really shoddy design of the drill bit that can only be used with Trend screws, which I now have 1400 that won't be used...

Seemingly good quality product and easy to use. I was easily able to modify the tool by removing the guide sleeves and boring out the holes that the sleeves sit in. Although modifying it voids the warranty, it gives me a variety of screw and driver bit options instead of being stuck with the manufacturers skinny square driver bit or purchasing the manufacturers expensive screws. I also like that it is adjustable to fit different size deck boards and comes with extra spacers to create larger gap sizes between each deck board.

Very good jig, just one small problem,I am using torx T15 decking screws, can't find right bit for the jig,I am buying CAMO bits T15 and using sharpening/grindering mashine tu get right length ,second photo.Trend gives square bits,I prefer torx 😉,jig really 👍.

I'm resurfacing my deck with black locust which is hard as all get out (and stains from non-stainless metal). I'm also using 2 board widths 3.5" and 5.5", 1/8" gap. Using Camo hidden fastener jigs would require me to purchase 2 different versions of their jig to use those widths with that spacing. So I got the Trend. It's great except Trend doesn't sell stainless steel fine thread deck screws for hardwood, so I have to use the Camo screws. Which are a little wiggly in the guides, and sometimes end up more on top of the board than in the side, defeating the purpose of the jig. So three stars for when it works, and docking two stars because Trend doesn't sell stainless fasteners. Which I guess is more of a knock on Trend, than this jig, which is well constructed and works as it should. Even after being dropped 30' multiple times.
