Q: How many cans of fuel I need to take for a 3 day trip, cooking 3 meals a day plus coffee twice.

These heat water up so fast and unless you're cooking a 3 course meal X3 per day in my past experience one full canister worked. Take 2 if you're backpacking because 2 is 1 and 1 is none. 3 if you're car camping or near country. Save your back ounces equal pounds and pounds equals pain. Hope that helps. 🤙🏻

Q: Does a jetboil fuel canister reliably work with this stove? i’ll be traveling and want to make sure i can get a canister, e.g., at rei.

I believe the jetboil specific canisters are not compatible with this stove. However most any other brand with the small propane canister size should be fine.

Q: Can you use the Coleman propane canisters with this item?

Probably not. First, they use "mixed fuel" (propane/butane) not the more common green bottled propane-only Coleman is well known for -- BUT even the smaller Coleman mixed fuel tanks often don't work with this. EVEN the instructions of this unit state that Colemans may NOT work.

My stove stopped working after two uses. The valve handle, when it turns, no longer raises and lowers the pin. Had this happened to anyone else?
