Vortex quality and warranty
Vortex is a very well known quality product with an excellent lifetime warranty. This binocular can be used by youth as well as for adults. High quality for the money. The image is excellent for this price of binoculars. Great eye relief of 18.7mm--needed for those wearing eyeglasses. Focus is smooth and precise. Nice binoculars for backpacking, light weight for travel, well as at home viewing.

Good for adults too
Nice binos. Compact, good views and good price at $69. Work for adults fine if your eyes aren’t too far apart. My IPD is around 65mm and these can go a little further than that (69mm). Love the 7.6 degree wide view.

Nice little kit.
So I found a pair of these on Ebay at a stupid good price and bought them for my daughter. Liked them so much I picked up another pair here on Amazon for myself. Just as a data point reference, I am 6ft 220lbs and am at the max interpupillary distance on these. Also, I own a silly amount high-ish end binos and these are not them. However, for a tenth of the price of some of my others, the viewing through these is 90% of those and are perfect for the glove box, as a loaner to someone without a pair or when you want super light weight and still have quality glass. 6.5x magnification is a sweet spot for edc. Oh yea, nice little pouch and sling provided. Vortex hit a homerun with these at this price point.

exceptional value for kid's binoculars with one caveat
I bought this for my 11 year old son, who is still rather small. I use the Vortex Viper HD 8x42, and have been very pleased with the brand. I initially bought the Vortex Raptor 8.5x32, but these proved too large for his small hands so I passed them on to another family member. The new Bantams are the PERFECT size for smaller hands, but feel great even in mine! Very easy to adjust and focus. I am especially pleased that they included covers/rainguards for both the objective lenses and the eyepieces. The small case is absolutely fine, very nice quality, actually, given the low price. But, where I was most impressed was with image quality. Keep in mind, I am used to the $500 Viper HDs, but when I looked at the spines of books across the living room in low light levels, I was quite surprised at the clarity! Outdoors was more of the same. Really crisp, bright images, especially given the 32mm objectives. And the 6.5x oculars give enough magnification while providing a wider field of view, making it easier for youth/beginners to locate their viewing subject. Now, the one caveat: the near focusing distance is a minimum of about 12' (around 3.5 meters). I suspect the physics of the size/lenses limited how close this could be, but it's disappointing given how much my son (and I suspect other young nature lovers) enjoys looking at bugs, reptiles, amphibians, etc..... I.e., subjects that tend to be closer than 10' when viewing them. For this reason, I plan to upgrade him to different Vortex binos as soon as he's ready for a heavier pair. But, in summary, these are simply great for the money. If you're looking for a great first pair of binoculars for a small child, especially for viewing birds and wildlife on hikes, this is really a stellar value. The price is unbeatable. The unconditional warranty is top in its class (free repairs or replacement even with no receipt or proof of purchase or box, etc); no need to worry about drops/spills/falls/accidents. The image quality is better than any other pair of youth binos we've tried. The feel in the hand and ease of focusing is great.Highly recommend these binoculars!

Excellent Quality, Great Value
Let me be clear at the onset: I only use binoculars for stargazing so I have no idea if these are good for hunting or birdwatching. I own a pair of the Vortex Optics Viper HD Roof Prism Binoculars 8x42 and I love them but they are packed in my astronomy kit and kind of heavy for extended use. I wanted a light pair of binoculars for every night use that I could just store in a living room side table and grab and go. After extensive research I settled on the Vortex Bantam. Sure they are marketed for kids and I think these are great for kids use but as an adult I am very happy. Like my other Vortex pair the optics are top shelf and the mechanical focus is smooth as silk. Eye cups adjust for perfect relief. Really surprised how good they are for 20% of the price of my other pair. Sure I sacrifice a little magnification but I can still see all the fun sky objects I love to scan on the regular (Orion Nebula, Sirius, Capella, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Pleiades, Andromeda, Aldebaran, Cassiopeia, and of course the solar system planets). These were exactly what I was looking for great set.

Terrific bargain and surprising performace
These are high quality!Design was very well thought out and integrated.Powerful enough to pick up little details and at a nice, wide viewing angle.I will grab these first off, not my 9x32's.You needn't spend more.Overnight delivery was much appreciated.

Impressive Binoculars
I purchased these for my Daughter, and when they came in just had to step out into the woods to compare them to a set of Leupold 8x42 and a set of 8x40 Burris. I was shocked to see that the Vortex bantam binoculars were clearer and had better overall image quality than the other two pair. These are small binos but fit my adult male face just fine. They also seem to adjust to a tighter eye to eye distance than my others. I am considering getting a pair for myself to replace the Leupold binos I normally use, as the little vortex is lighter, and I have no issue making out the details better with them to say 150 yards then the leupold 8x that cost $100+ more. The 6.5x was plenty of magnification for a set of hunting binoculars used in open timber. and the weight savings would be nice in the pack. I glassed objects for about 20 minutes with the three pair, and for my eyes the Vortex came out on top.
