Great baby food recipe book.
I found this recipe book SO useful once I started weaning my little one and I've bought it as a gift for all my friends who have had babies since. I did a mix of baby led weaning and purees and although the recipes tend to end with pureeing the meals, you can just cut the ingredients up smaller initially and skip the pureeing step if you prefer. It splits the recipes into age categories, which is great while they are growing, but I certainly dipped back into the "younger recipes" that she liked and even now that she is almost 2 years old I still make her a batch of recipes from this book from time to time. The guidelines for how many meals each recipe makes I found a little hit or miss but wasn't a big problem (tended to be more rather than less).I particularly liked that it specified whether recipes could be frozen or not, though with only 1 child I did wonder how I was meant to use all the portions of the fridge-only recipes within the 2 days they suggested! It also gives you an idea of preparation time and although some of the recipes take a while to cook this was mainly the slow cook type ones that just sat on the hob or in the oven once you'd added all the ingredients so that didn't bother me. They were largely one pot meals which made the cooking and cleaning up much easier.Great book and I would definitely recommend it.

More adventurous baby purees
I bought this to use alongside the classic Annabel Karmel's meal planner as I was getting a little bored with her meals. This book is also all purees (rather than BLW) but, in my opinion, the recipes are more adventurous than Ms. Karmel's.The recipes in this book are much more like ordinary adult food e.g. chicken curry and fish pie and as a result I have multiplied up the ingredients to make larger portions of several dishes to give 4 baby dinners (frozen 3) and a meal for Mum and Dad.This book exposes baby to a wide range of flavours and introduces them to numerous herbs and spices (you just keep it all fairly mild). Each receipe also has a note alongside it which explains the health benefits of one or more of the ingredients used.

Not quick and easy
The recipes in this book are very nice, however take a while to prepare and cook. For example, easy one pot chicken and a beef stew take around 15 mins to prepare and 45 mins to cook. When you have a crying baby in the background you sometimes need something quicker! I use this book by making a meal which serves 6 (a lot of them do), then divide into small tubs and put in the freezer. The recipes are also quite adult like so nice for adults! Some of the ingredients are quite fancy and expensive like Tahini paste and Saffron. It says 'top 100' though the book is divided into sections for age groups, 4 to 6 months, 7 to 9 months etc and there are not that many in each section.I would recommend this book if you fancy doing some more adventurous recipes for your baby and you and your baby can be patient with the prep and cooking. Also if you don't mind shopping for extra ingredients that you don't normally use.

Fantastic babyfood book
Fantastic babyfood book. Big variety of ingredients and full of flavour some recipes. It actually tastes so good that we ate together with our baby. Our boy is now 4 years old, but I still cook meals from this book (of course without mashing) because it tastes that good!! It also gives a feeding plan for each stage so that first time mother like myself doesn't have to worry what to combine! Great, great book! Christine Bailey deserve more praise!!

All looking good
I am due to have my 2nd child and didn't purchase anything like this with my first one and wish I did because the book is laid out in a really productive way and has clear instructions which are easy to follow. To follow the recipes you hardly need any equipment and the equipment you do need you would already have purchase i.e. blender. All in all this is a good, easy book which will give you the tools, ideas & nutritional advice to feed your baby solid foods.Excellent would recommend highly.

Brilliant
This has a brilliant and big selection of foods to cook for your baby, I being a first time mum had no idea what and/or to prepare for my son. It has some unusual combinations and other than ones containing cucumber I'm yet to find one he dislikes! These are dead easy and quick to make. Also has a few things that you can mix up and change slightly if you wish. Great for a mum who just needs a few guidelines!

Great Recipes and useful Tips
I have started looking after my 7-month-old grandson and wanted to make him some nutritious meals but felt very out of practice. This book is full of good recipes using every day foods and tips on what age different foods can be introduced. I would also recommend the Top 100 Finger Foods I have ordered both books for my daughter in law, as they have been so useful and the meals a complete success with baby
