Great Item
My sister purchased this set for her 5- and 3 year old and so far thinks it’s great. The kids love the colors and creating the design on the card. Her 3yo is still getting used to turning the pieces to the correct edges in order to make them fit and create the design, but he loves it all the same. The only wish my sister said she has is that the included board fit the pieces just a bit more snug. Other than that, this is a great item to engage the mind and keep the kids busy with instead of screen time. 100% recommended! But check other retailers for a slightly better price. She found it cheaper at Target.

Great for older kids too
The box says age 3+. So I would think too childish for a 7 year old. However, I saw a seven year old playing with this toy, and asked her about it. She was obviously a bright child, and she explained how it worked and how much she liked it. So I bought it for my granddaughter’s 7th birthday. She loved it, and it’s a challenge for her. She’s very competitive, and she figured out a way to time the task so she could compete with friends/siblings. It’s also an attractive and durable toy, so I think it will be kept for a long time.

Really great toy
This toy has been a staple in our house for years now. We gift it to other kids in the same age bracket as ours. We got it when our son was 4 and he still plays with it at 7. Our daughter is 5 and she enjoys it as well. The blocks are well made and colorful but really it's the patterns that make the thing. There are a load of cards that come with the blocks and each card exhibits a pattern. The kids can work on reproducing the patterns in the square base. The degree of difficulty ranges from basic to quite complex. I was even waved in to figure out a few and struggled for a bit (they required one to think three dimensionally). One cool thing is that the kids ultimately aren't limited to arranging patterns in the base. At this point, my son is stacking them up and using them with cars and little animals and so forth. It really is a great toy and has killed hours upon hours over the years.

Open-ended fun for all ages and abilities
We love this open-ended activity. My 4 year old and I complete patterns together. It's teaching her visual discrimination, which is a prerequisite for reading. The only shortfall is that the frame is a bit too big. The pieces shift around more than I think is intended. I understand it needing a little"wiggle room" but it's just a tad too big. It hasn't stopped us from enjoying the product, just makes it a bit more challenging. My daughter also builds and stacks the blocks for additional open-ended fun.

Great for all ages!!
I bought this after using it during rehab. Great for all ages, I play it with my granddaughter who's 5, she loves it, even the 3 yr old wants to play. A bit pricey, but what isn't these days.

So many ways to play with these blocks. Hours of fun and learning.
Love the colours and shapes of these blocks. My grand-daughter who is five was able to build some of the suggested shapes and also use her imagination to figure out her own creations. Definitely recommend this block set for hours of fun, imagination and learning.
