Great grill
Have had this now for 2 years and it works great. Easy to install, easy to clean out drip pan and lights very easily. Want to get the rotisserie add on next to spice it up some!

Good value
This grill has the higher end steel. Converting to NG was easier than I thought - do before you use it. For main burners, only need to remove a valve, not replace, as it comes already with NG valves for those burners. Main searer is incredibly hot. Rear searer works, but not really necessary unless you're going to do rotisserie. Everything worked. Came with a small dent in the main handle. Otherwise, this is the best bang for your buck on a large outdoor grill.

Gorgeous and Sturdy
This is a gorgeous grill. Great value, in comparison with other drop in grills. Heavy sturdy steel construction on all parts, smooth action on knobs, and easy installation. Thoughtful extras include individual ignitors, large readable thermometer, huge sear burner, easy access drip cup. Two more things. It matches my Kitchen Aid kitchen appliances, and it gets and keeps really high heat. 550 in about 5 minutes. At last night's bbq, I made all my buddies really jealous.

Seems a very substantial Grill!
I ordered this grill with some trepidation given some of the reviews, but the price at $789 for a 40" unit seemed too good to pass up. When the boxed grill arrived, it was heavy. Surprisingly so, though I was hesitant to open for fear what may be inside. I really didn't want to have to ship this thing back. Of course, that feeling lasted 30 or 40 seconds and I dove in to see just what I had gotten into.In short I was pleasantly surprised! No damage or broken parts. Was much heavier construction than my Webber Genesis. Appears all stainless and the lid, handle, grates are all substantial and well crafted. I was ecstatic that the grill came with a full NG conversion kit with quick connect line. Fit perfectly into a 40in cabinet. The NG conversion was a breeze (FOR THE LICENSED PLUMMER).OK, so I have not yet used the grill yet as I am waiting for the weather to get a little better before installing the new outdoor kitchen along with the 40" KitchenAid grill. I have tested it out and it seems to generate some good heat, even with NG. Perhaps the rating will change once in use, but the unit I received seems to have avoided many of the issues others have encountered.

The best grills I've owned
the value is great. heavy duty pieces are easy to clean and maintain. The knobs on the grill are sturdy. you can add a rotiserie piece to cook protiens. the sear burner is great(superquick) for those meats you want to char well and finishoff rare,med-rare. Definately taking care of this one.

Don’t buy lights on fire almost every use!!
Don’t buy this girl we have only used it a few mo the & it continues to light on fire!!! Although this grill looks nice I’m disappointed we’ve in used it 5 times & the stainless steel has not just 1 but heat marks all over the outside discoloring the top outside of the grill!! Maybe after a lot of grilling but really? Also, the grill tray can only be installed one way so it limits the install options of the brickwork since you can slide the grill pan to the left or right side which makes it have to be taken out from the back which is challenging otherwise, if you chose to have the handle in front you won’t be able to install bricks nicely to cover it up. Our contractor needed to adjust/work around it. Kitchenaide that’s cheaply made!

Kitchenaid Gas Grille
I purchased this grille to replace a older built in gas grille. The grille came assembled and was easy to install. It came set for for propane gas and had the regulator and hose to use natural gas. The regulator flow arrow is covered up on the mounting bracket. The bracket has to be removed to see how to hook up. I would suggest having a professional the gas line if natural gas is being used.Overall I really like the grille. I also purchased a cover for the grille which was perfect.
