this toy ROCKS!
The other reviewers of this toy probably have problems of their own that don't relate to the item. I'm an adult. My friends are adults. There are NO children involved in the enjoyment of this product. We all love it. It ROCKS. This toy zips high above your head, 20-30 feet, making a cool UFO sound complete with light effects. Maybe it's because we're ADULTS and we're not saturated or spoiled by today's demands on the toy market, but we get the biggest kick out of flying these and are working towards getting a whole fleet to scare the neighbors.

This was an item on the list a person wanted for a present. I did not see it and can only attest to the fact that it arrived on time

Pass this one up...
My son was excited, it looks kinda cool all Styrofoam and surly not built to last.. I charged it for an hour or so, 1st flight about a minute at most. Charged it up agian 2 hours my son pushed the trigger and the vessel goes up, no other control on it, but once again a minute of up... down...up...down.. Ok that's it,, not much of a toy, especially for 20$ your waste tgat much charging it in a few weeks..Totally Do Not Recommend

FUN, FUN toy!
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!FUN: This toy is FUN! It's amazing. The guys who designed and built it are GENIOUSES! Maybe aliens built it. It's themost-fun toy I have seen in a l-o-n-g time. But, it's not for kids. It's DELICATE and it's a throwaway. But, it's FUN! Itshould come in a pack of 2 or 3 crafts because they're easy to break.AGE: My box said, "5+." That's NUTS! The instructions said not for children < 10. That's still WRONG! I would say 15-100.Supervise at both ends (15 and 100).KIDS: Forget the kids! I am going to keep this toy for ME! I am over 40. I'll SHOW it to the kids but closely monitor any kidunder 15 who tries to fly it - unless I am ready to throw one away and buy another. Kids tend to jam down the trigger andmake it go FAST. That's DUMB with the HoverCraft! Would you do that to a helicopter? Same principle here.CONTROL: VERTICAL flight can be controlled; period; not horizontal. It CAN hover at any height up to 30-50 feet -- if you are good enough to SQUEEZE that trigger in and out -- gently. BUT, a breeze can send it off course to come crashing down - on its top. The controller allows VARIABLE speed of the motor! You CAN speed it up as it descends so it doesn't land too hard. But, if it touches AnyThing, it is likely to crash.DANGER: Cume on!, it has a spinning prop! Try not to let it touch anything while in flight. That includes people and animals!BROKE: I flew my craft outside and inside. It will NOT take off from an uneven surface. If it lands hard, the solder joints can and will break, after a time. The frame is made of styrofoam and it's delicate. My craft broke after several flights. Itlost power to the motor and one of the side-mounted LED lights died. I am going back to the store and buy at least one moreHoverCraft! I resoldered the power lead but won't replace the LED. It has two.DISASSEMBLY: It's tricky to take apart and harder to re-assemble. Elves must have put these things together. Maybe Santa built them in the first place; or ... EXTRA-TERRESTRIALS.UPGRADE: I wish they had a DELUX model for, say, $20 more. I would buy one in a flash. One that was a bit more rugged. Theelectrical connections are too fragile. I think HORIZONTAL flight would be too much to ask for for under $100 because itwould require at least one more RC channel.NOISE: Someone said it was noisy inside the house - nuts! It "whirs." Big deal! The more it whirs, the higher it can go!!PETS: It drove my dog nuts, for a while. It survived the dog. The dog is recovering.FLIGHT TIME: Okay, it's short. But, what more do you want for a $20 toy?! It charges quickly! Buy 2 or 3; they're cheap!VALUE: OUTSTANDING! Figure $10 for the batteries, $10 for the controller, $10 for the charger, and the rest is FREE!READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

Love this thing -- I flew it up to 90 feet
I got dozens of flights out of this thing, indoors and outdoors. I could make it hover near the ceiling inside the house. Outside in the yard, I flew it easily at 90 feet. The mistake I made was to fly it at night -- I flew it too close to an oak tree, and it got stuck in the tree! Doh. Eventually the wind blew it down from the tree though, so I got it back. But the motor is broken now.I feel like I got more than my money's worth out of it.

Great toy - but fragile!
We all had so much fun with this toy, but beware, it is fragile. Also, be really careful about flying near trees or roofs. We lost the first one on the apt. roof, and the second one broke because my son was too rough with it. Also watch out that the blade doesn't come into contact with anything, especially hair! It's a really fun toy, but just be very careful with it! Not for younger kids. I would say teens and up, or 10+ with LOTS of supervision.
