Great for storing all your makeup

This makeup bag just isn’t what I expected. The material is very cheap feeling. The bag itself is quite costly. It has a puffed out look to it even when empty so it looks cumbersome. The string doesn’t tighten properly against the material of the bag. I’ve seen this style advertised and it looked like it makes it easy to store your makeup and find everything when applying it. Sadly this bag just doesn’t do what I had hoped for properly.

I use a lot of different make-up from skincare - cleansers, serums, moisturisers and primers - to cosmetics, along with various brush applicators. A few years ago, I used to keep a round tray under the settee loaded with the various elements of my routine - essentially for speed in the mornings.I've been aware of this type of drawstring cosmetic organiser since they hit the market and so, when the chance to try one came along, I jumped at it. From Tranquil Beauty, this appears to be a well made item which in some ways does call to mind my old tray system.The outer is quilted and made from water resistant polyester that's also beautifully lightweight and hand washable. Laid out flat, it forms a circle a little larger than the tray I used to use. There's a row of elasticated slots for brushes or pencils, say plus a useful zipped compartment that could be used for hair accessories or even jewellery.I find that laying out make-up and tools like this makes them easier and quicker to locate and the whole process is speeded up and made more efficient. Finished? Simply pull the drawstring which goes right around the circle, secure with the toggle and you're good to go. This will work if you use loads of stuff - or not so much. The drawstring lets you enclose lots of items or fewer, totally to suit your own requirements.With a broad nylon loop at the top allows the bag to be carried or easily hung, in my view this very versatile bag is perfect both home and away. I'd usually take a hard case vanity bag when travelling but the capacity of this organiser is so generous I reckon I'll be able to substitute it in future - less weight and so convenient.

The fabric is awful, feels like plastic. Doesn’t draw up tight so some items could fall out. Returned!

I got this makeup bag and it's a good size to hold a lot of things and easy to carry. It has a zip pocket inside and an open pocket outside. It's practical but not very stylish. These days, there are so many other pretty makeup bags around, and this one is quite plain.Also, the string is way too long, so you have to tie multiple bows to make it look tidy. I gave it to my young daughter, who now uses it to carry around her small toys. She plays with them and then quickly packs them away. It's good for holding legos too.Overall, it's an OK bag if you need something to hold a lot of things.
