As a long-time Ring camera user, I've always appreciated the flexibility of battery-powered devices, but battery life has sometimes been a balancing act. Where I used to swap out batteries every few weeks on my high-traffic cameras, I'm now pushing well over a month, even with frequent motion alerts and Live View checks. This dramatically reduces the hassle of recharging and downtime for the camera. * **Faster Charging:** When it *is* time to charge, the new battery seems to power up quicker than previous versions. It's not lightning-fast, but the reduction in charging time is definitely noticeable and appreciated, especially when you need your camera back online quickly. * **Seamless Integration:** As expected, it slots perfectly into my existing Ring cameras (specifically, my Ring Doorbell Pro 2 and Stick Up Cam Battery). No compatibility issues whatsoever, which is exactly what you want from a new accessory. * **Reliable Performance:** So far, the battery has held its charge consistently, without any unexpected drops or erratic behavior. It seems to be holding a charge great! It works perfect in my ring doorbell and last much longer than the old battery.

This Ring camera was a gift from our daughters, and it has quickly become one of the most thoughtful and useful gifts we’ve ever received. We’ve only been using it for about a month, but even in that short time it already gives us a real sense of added security and peace of mind. Installation and setup were surprisingly easy — very straightforward, even for someone who isn’t especially tech-savvy. One important note on batteries: depending on placement and activity level, battery life can vary quite a bit. Our front-of-the-house camera, even set on the lowest motion range, went through a single battery in about two weeks. I would highly recommend purchasing extra batteries. We’ve now installed two batteries and are hoping that will significantly extend the time between charges. Overall, this has been an excellent experience so far. It’s one of those products where, once you have it, you honestly can’t remember what life was like before it. An incredibly practical and thoughtful gift from our children — and one we appreciate every single day.

Original: On a full charge, these things last barely a week. So every 7-10 days you get the pleasure of lugging out your ladder and making the climb and hoping you don't jiggle the skitchy camera connection itself so much that you muck up the angle you carefully set before. Buyer beware. Revision: Upon reading the forgoing, Ring actually reached out. A truly friendly and helpful customer service rep, live human going by the initial "Z" thoughtfully talked me through the settings. One issue might have been long distance from router. She actually provided a code to get a chime booster at no cost. The battery now lasts a good 4-6 weeks. BUT: I had to disable motion detection and notification functionality. If you want a fully functional product, you really should opt for hard wired. All that said, that said, Z continued to follow up until she was assured the issue had been addressed. Not the greatest product even after all that, but the service was truly exceptional. Hence the upgrade from 1 star to 4.

Ring batteries are reliable, consistent in output that when charged to capacity can power a Ring camera for many months without the need to recharge them. If you live in an area where the temperature can drop down to zero degrees Fahrenheit or lower, the batteries output is compromised and will need to be recharged sooner than in warmer months. Each individual battery comes with an Orange charging cable that uses an older style connector, Type A to Micro B ends setup. When using that cable two lights, red and green., light up when the battery is charging, When charging is complete only the Green light remains lit. (see photo.) That works well enough, however since a battery powered Ring camera uses two batteries, I use the two battery compartment charger (purchased separately) that effectively charges both at the same time. When the batter is charging a series of four lights flash in sequence as the charge increases, and all four stay lit when fully charged (see photo). The battery is easy to install, or remove from the camera using a spring loaded tab.

Reliable replacement battery! I had to replace one of my batteries in a ring spotlight camera. Works fine and holds a charge in below freezing weather.

They are the ones and only, in my opinion. As discovered, the copycat batteries dont last as long, and the size is slightly off, as evidenced in pushing it up in the Ring unit. The clasps are not as good as the original in locking into the camera. Best bet, get the original.
