Reliable, Powerful, and Perfect for DIY Projects!
I’ve been using the BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX POWERCONNECT Saw for a few months now, and it has quickly become one of my go-to tools for home improvement projects. Whether I’m cutting wood for shelves or trimming branches in the yard, this saw handles it all with ease. The 20V battery provides plenty of power and lasts longer than I expected. I also love the convenience of the POWERCONNECT system—I can use the same battery across my other BLACK+DECKER tools, which is a huge plus. The saw is lightweight but still feels sturdy, and the tool-free blade change makes swapping blades super quick. It’s easy to handle, even for someone who isn’t a professional. The variable speed control gives great precision, and the overall design makes it comfortable to use for longer periods. If you’re looking for a versatile, cordless saw that performs well and doesn’t break the bank, I highly recommend this one. It’s a fantastic value for the quality you get!

Excellent tool!
Lots of power for a cordless. Easy for a 70 year old woman to use. Good price. Don't really like the safety features.

It's a nice saw!
This battery saw has the power to cut common lumber- 3/4" plywood, 2x4's, 1" boards, etc. I haven't put it on 5/4 flooring or anything like that, but it does the job and cuts a straight line. It's light enough to use for a while without depleting your arm strength (I'm 77 yo), and to maneuver, but it's not "lightweight"- just "light enough". The 5-1/2" blade size is enough to go through the 2" part of a 2x4 with relative ease (with the included 24-tooth blade), but that blade raises wicked slivers along both sides of the cut. The battery seems to last long enough to rip a sheet of plywood end to end a couple times without flagging; I'm ordering extra batteries just in case, though. All-in-all, I like it.

Not bad... won't have to use a hand saw for everything anymore!
I used this saw with the included blade to build my porch railing (100+ cuts: 4x4's, 2x4's, 1x4's, 1x2's). Expect to get 50 cuts per charge on 2x4 treated lumber. I was not satisfied with the finish of the treated 4x4 cuts, but the treated 2x4's, 1x2's, & Cedar 1x4's cut very well--better than the factory cut. When cutting multiple boards together, I did not have trouble cutting 1x2's stacked together, but I did have trouble cutting 2x4's stacked one after the other. I do not recommend making cuts in 2 passes--the blade will pull differently on the second pass--and the cut will not be seamless. ...if you are concerned with tearing at the edges just go slowly. I did not have a problem with frayed or broken edges even when cutting 1x2's at an angle. The safety function is well thought out. The retracting blade cover has a handle--so that it can be retracted in preparation for making a cut. ...if you don't it can wobble, as evidenced by the teeth marks in the 2nd photo. The blade never got hot, and neither did the equipment despite the 95°F weather. But, I found the base to have quite a bit of friction (sticky) when the wood is wet/humid, not a show-stopper but it is something to be prepared for. This saw has multiple adjustments--and there is a bit of play, if you push too hard your cut may lean or wander wide on the backside. Don't push too hard and you will be fine. Surprisingly, I found this saw to rip boards quite well--in fact, I think the blade/saw combo makes rip cuts better than cross cuts. I am quite satisfied with this saw. It took some getting-used-to but it works quite well. It is the perfect companion to my Black N' Decker 20v MAX drill--which is 5 years old and just as good as the day I purchased it.

For light work
This saw works perfect if you don’t expect rapid cuts or cuts on hard wood, with a nice saw blade I got the work done in minutes, unfortunately there is no extra battery available.

Saw operated and performed exceptionally. Battery lasted a long time.
I bought this Black and Decker Cordless saw to use in my community garden where there are no electrical outlets. The price was unbelievable as it came with a blade, the battery and the charger. Most saws don't. This saw is light weight and easy to handle. I went to the local hardware store and they showed me how to install the blade. I charged the battery and then I spent several hours in the garden with my family. My brother sawed several boards to length over this time and the battery never ran out. The saw cut extremely well. My brother made several raised beds and I am looking forward to a bountiful harvest. I would definitely recommend this saw to beginners and those who need a cordless saw for projects.
