this is a really cool trick, that is very well put together, out of decent materials. It feels like a high-quality prop, but it is very inexpensive. Works great, exactly as designed, I'm not gonna give away the trick, you have to buy it yourself lol. high quality materials, A lot of fun, and great to have in your pocket. Great product, great price, highly recommended.

Like another reviewer stated, the "ball sliding up and down" unit is a little loud, and probably could have been smoothed down to quiet it down some. The video link that is given with the unit does indeed show you the "how to", but is a very simple video with no suggestions for any type of routine or actual performance use. The video really isn't that good and could have been replaced with a few simple instructions. Check other ball and tube magic trick videos and you may find better results.

The brass tube is well made. The steel ball that came with it has a chrome finish, but the ball has big rough tarnish spots in a couple places, which don’t affect the trick, but really diminish the aesthetic of the product, especially since you are handing the tube AND the ball to someone to examine and try. The tube unscrews clockwise rather than counterclockwise. This is clever because even. When the tube is handed to someone to examine, most people would not think to unscrew in the wrong direction. Also, the tube is machined so well that most people would never think to try to unscrew it because it fits together so perfectly it looks like one piece and looks seamless. You can even give it an extra little twist to make it hard to unscrew even if someone was trying to unscrew it which would probably deter them from trying further. That said, I think it is pretty difficult to unscrew the piece and do the trick, since you need a couple rotations to unscrew the 2 pieces and once you do, it’s a bit noisy when you slide the two pieces of tube, and I also feel a bit tricky to try to conceal the inner sleeve wile doing the trick.

Fun to play with, good to fool small kids, but do not believe the description for a moment, if this is handed out to an even slightly curious spectator the gimmick will be discovered instantly.

My son really likes magic in general, but this trick really blew his mind hole and he immediately set to work to do the trick close-up and without any doubts from the audience. I knew how the trick worked and he still was able to perform it in a way that had me wanting to rewind to see how he'd made it work. For him, it's all about the distraction away from the tube, and I thought he was messing up the trick when he was really just doing an amazing job of distracting. Perfect for kids this way, and very very pleasing trick.

This is a good gift for a kid, but it was not what I thought. It is important to have the person that you are performing for look at it straight down (see product video), so that limits the audience size. I thought that it would use body heat to expand the cylinder, but I was wrong.The second picture is a CGI shot, and is not realistic on how the trick is performed, so I had to knock it down to only 2 stars because it is false advertising. There are nested cylinders, so the ball only recedes into the cylinder when the inner cylinder slides down. That is not accurately shown in the picture.Still it is a nice gift for a kid who likes magic and parents that are good at feigning shock and awe.
