although I liked the product
Unfortunately, although I liked the product, it never performed as advertised. The support staff was great and made many recommendations, but to no avail. After awhile, I felt that the technical support people gave up on helping me resolve the issue. I tried accessing the device with many different phones to get into the Milo app, but the system never let me in. Although the Milo support staff said they could indeed access the system, I could not. Remember, I tried not one device, but several to access the Milo App as recommended, still NOTHING. I felt there was no recourse left but to return the device, for again the product never did not perform as advertised.

... is not a mesh network but seems to function like one and for much less money
Milo is not a mesh network but seems to function like one and for much less money. I have a large house and good wifi coverage because the router is placed in the center. However I had three trouble spots where I installed wifi cameras. I was looking into a mesh network when I ran across the Milowifi.com web site. Because it was much cheaper than the cheapest mesh network and after a phone discussion with Milo I decided to try the 2 pack.My first experience wasn’t the best. I couldn’t get the system setup so I called Tech Support. Unfortunately we were still unable to get the access point unit to talk to the base. Eventually they replaced both units. After setting up the replacement units I was rewarded with improved wifi coverage throughout the entire house. The setup is through a phone app but can be a little confusing because it requires logging in and using Milo’s built in network for setup. At times my phone disconnected from Milo and logged into my regular network requiring switching back and fourth. However, once Milo is set up it can assume the home network SSID and login to act seamlessly as one network.I have a three-story house with the router in the center of the basement. I placed the base unit at one end of the house on the second floor and the 2nd unit at the other end on the second floor. Although Milo recommends they be placed 20 to 40 feet apart mine are approximately 48 feet from each other with no obstructions. Now I have full coverage including the third floor.Interestingly there were three areas that were real strong (closest to router) that lost some minimal signal strength and other areas that were weak that became very strong. This leads me to believe I was connected to Milo through out the house. Placement of the units was certainly a big factor and of course signal strength fluctuates. I checked the signal, both local network bandwidth and the Internet speed, in several spots throughout the house comparing them before and after. The average bandwidth increase on my local network was 22.74 Mbps, and average increase of my Internet download speed was 1.10 Mbps with an average upload speed increase of 0.05 Mbps. My Internet connection is a DSL line at 20 Mbps speed so any increase is a godsend. The biggest gain was at my video doorbell outside on a brick wall. I went from 1.7 Mbps to 57.2 Mbps on my home network (the Milo was just inside the wall). I also have wifi on our back deck that didn’t exist before.Another problem I encountered was the wireless printer connecting to the Milo base instead of the wireless router. My desktop is connected to the router via Ethernet and since the printer requires both devices to be on the same network it wouldn’t print. Although the network name is the same the Milo connected on it’s own network. With the help of Tech Support we named the printer in my desktop settings by IP address instead of name. Now it works flawlessly. The system works as advertised boosting my home network signal on average by 34% and my Internet download speed by 5% and upload speed by 4%. Because of my experience with excellent tech support and my results I am giving the Milo Wifi System 5 stars. Normally I don’t write reviews since most things I buy have too many reviews to read anyway, however, since this is a new product I thought a review would be helpful. One word of warning though, your experience may be totally different than mine because there are numerous other factors affecting signal strength and this is certainly not a scientific review.

Good product.
My Wifi coverage got affected when I installed wireless security cameras, this system solved the problem. No more performance, dead spots or slow internet away from the router. Very simple to set up.UPDATE: 3/11/21 My extender quit working and product and support has been discontinued.

Great Wifi Mesh for the everyday user
I've had the Milo Wifi System for about a month now. The setup was simple and fast, although I had some problems initially but they turned out to be with my existing router/AP (Note - Milo support was excellent!). It is working very well and is very stable so far. I haven't had to restart it, or my router once since the install and final placement of the units. My devices stay connected and I get consistent and adequate speed to each of them. Occasionally, there is slight lag on mobile devices as you move through the house, which I'm sure is due to switching connections between the "Base" and "Point". The overall coverage/range is good. My environment consists of the following...2500sqft 2 story house50 meg AT&T connection through their standard router/AP2 node Milo Wifi4 laptops3 ipads6 phones2 ps34 video streaming devices2 wireless printersRoughly 70-80% of the devices listed are connected at the same time. I can stream video to 2 TVs, have 2 kids on Netflix, myself working on my laptop and have other family playing games on their ipads without any complaints or issues. I might be able to do more, but that's what I have tested so far. The speed seems to be consistent between the devices in the speed tests I've done throughout my house. Overall, very happy with the product. I gave it 4/5 stars only because of the following....- limited feature set (no QOS, etc..)- Base and point should be a little closer than spec'd by Milo (Max 30ft apart in my opinion)- no web interface, must be installed through mobile app- range is pretty good, but would like a little more speed at the farther ends of the rangeIf you are looking for an inexpensive whole home Wifi mesh, Milo is a great choice for the average everyday user. I like the way it extends your existing SSID wirelessly without the need to connect it directly to your router with a cable and the setup is very simple.

Not ready for prime time. buyers remorse.
I absolutely do not like this so far. The setup is hokey at best, and the app is terrible (alpha ware) and I still can't get the 2nd access point to reliably connect 25 feet away (not line of sight, but only a drywall wall in the way. Let me describe the app in one word. unclear.... a second word would be confusing.Performance description in one word: underwhelmed. I regret this purchase. It did briefly work for about 10 minutes then the access point dropped off.I'm going to keep fiddling with it and possibly call their customer service again in an attempt to pair everything again. so far my inclination is to return it post haste and buy a real home wifi mesh system.

Worked great for two months only
Worked reasonably - expected better - and then started failing for a couple of days and then nothing. Tried resetting a few times with no result. Strongly recommend not buying this product
