Q: the instructions say to add it to the dispenser but the dispenser is not watertight. Where should I put it?

I’ve just poured it in the bottom of my machine. Works great.

Q: Does this stuff work better than just using vinegar?

Vinegar works great, but didn’t quite get rid of the gunk that can build up and smell awful...this product does, and leaves the washer smelling and looking nice and clean.

Q: Will it dissolve trapped food waste - like food bits stuck in the spinning blades?

Many "spinning blades" in dishwashers can be easily popped open to clean. Then just click closed and reinstall to run.

Q: Do you wash dishes at the same time as putting oh yuk in the dishwasher, or do you run an empty load after putting oh yuk in the dishwasher?

I run oh yuk through an empty dishwasher though one heavy pots-and-pans cycle. The product rinses out very well without the need to run an extra rinse cycle. Then go back to using your dishwasher like normal. Do not use the oh yuk product with dishes.
