Almost perfect. It is doing exactly what I want it to do. I bumped it down to 4 stars due to the finish. It is stainless steel, but not well polished. It has a slightly rough feeling to it, not slick. Otherwise it’s great. It is not leaking. It is the length promised. Surprisingly, it came with screw-in thread protectors (plastic plugs). It also had an o-ring on the outer surface, mid way up the tapered shaft that fits into the nozzle holder. The placement suggests to sturdy the nozzle during use. I removed the o-ring, my nozzle holder is fairly snug already. Overall, I am happy with it.

Always having a conventional shower without a shower hose like this one, when I installed my instant hot water heater, a rubber shower hose was provided and I quickly replaced it with a Phasat coiled stainless steel hose. This lightweight hose would outlast a rubber hose, but that doesn't mean it won't eventually wear out. In fact when reviewing the comments about the hose there were the regular warnings about the hose breaking soon after being installed. What they didn't mention was that anything that is mistreated is not going to last its full expected lifetime of service. It's not intended for playing jump rope in the shower. The stainless steel will break if kinked, twisted, or stretched, or in my case after four years of excellent service, pushed the shower head a little too forcefully back into its holder, snapping the coupling. But even so, the service life I received from it shattered all the previous warnings about how it would quickly break because the hose itself is still perfectly good. Unfortunately, replacing the connector might be more difficult than just keeping a new extra hose available. In the words of one great and respected personality of the past: "That's the way it is..."

Our old shower house was less flexible and broke when we were washing the dog in the bathtub. This hose is significantly more flexible and still feels high quality. It is also a great length. It reaches more than the length of the tub. It was easy to install and matches our existing fixture.

It is long enough for any shower tasks including baying our dogs.
