BOGAR TECH DESIGNS Side Window Chrome Delete Overlay Compatible with Kia Stinger 2018-2023, Gloss Black

I have only put on two of the overlays because I ran out of daylight, but they look really good. Follow the instructions, they definitely help. And using the heat gun is imperative for sure. My heat gun is not the best, but it did the job just fine. I think you could probably also use a blow dryer if you let it warm up for a minute or so. Not sure where the bad ratings are coming from, but these work great.

The Bogar Tech Designs, Side Window Chrome Delete Overlay Kit wasn’t very user-friendly for me, and I ended up removing the film. I followed the directions to a T, and the end result was junky. The decals didn’t stick very easily until I heated them up … but, they just looked bad—unprofessional. I don’t know if it’s me or the materials so, I’m generously giving this product a 3-Star rating. However, I would not recommend it to a friend, and I’m sorry I ever got involved with it because it was a disappointing waste of time & a hassle to remove.

These look great once on. They weren’t as sticky as some I’ve used in the past but when heated with a hair dryer they wrapped nicely.

I was a little nervous about buying this chrome delete kit because vinyl can be hit or miss, but this one actually worked great. Installation was straightforward, the pieces were cut right and lined up properly, so I didn’t spend hours trimming and adjusting. Once on, it totally changed the look of my Kia Stinger. The chrome is gone, everything is sleek and blacked out, and it really pulls the whole car together. The finish has a nice gloss to it, which makes it look OEM rather than cheap aftermarket. Adhesion was strong, and after a couple of weeks of Florida sun and rain, it’s still sticking perfectly with no peeling at the edges. If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to clean up the look of your car, this kit does the job. Honestly, the before-and-after difference is huge. I love it.

I have a 2019 KIA Stinger GT2 AWD that I routinely drive sporting the Panthera Metal (Thunder Gray) paint. I had been looking for some way to improve the appearance of the finish on the metal trim strips that arch over the side windows. The current trim strips have sort of a worn out mottled metallic finish that doesn’t do justice to the rest of the cars good looking exterior. That’s when I discovered this chrome-delete product from BOGAR TECH DESIGNS. This product comes well-packaged, and consists of several strips of gloss black vinyl, and comes with most everything you will need to overlay your car’s trim strips. About the only extra item you may need is a hair blow dryer (for heat setting) to help adhere the vinyl to contours. I especially appreciate the clearly executed video that is available on the website to help ensure that you are able to complete your chrome delete with high quality end-results. I had no problem with the materials or instructions, although you will need to plan a good part of an afternoon to do the job properly. You will need to ensure that the metal trim strips on your car have been properly cleaned and dry, then work the black vinyl over your metal trim strips by going back-and-forth and rolling the vinyl edges around the metal trim edges, so that you achieve a smooth application without wrinkling or bubbles. It is important to note that once you have completed the chrome-delete vinyl installation, it is best advised to NOT take your vehicle through a high-pressure carwash, or one that allows the brushes to contact your vehicle as their is the chance of it lifting the edges of the applied vinyl. I would also imagine that like a car exterior paint-wrap, the applied vinyl is good for a certain number of years (depending on length of exposure to the elements) before it might need to be replaced. The company notes that this chrome-delete vinyl overlay is compatible with Kia Stinger models spanning 2018-2023, and I found that there is more than adequate material to achieve a proper fit. I would imagine that if you might not feel up to doing a hands-on installation yourself, you could also get a great end-result by taking the kit to an automotive detailer to get a quality job. I think this is a great product, and definitely one that adds to the already great looking appearance of the KIA STINGER.
