DND Gel Polish Set, Red Collection, UV/LED GelPolish and Air Dry Nail Lacquer, Matching Chip-Free Polish Duo, 0.5 Fl Oz Each

I’ve started doing my own gel nails and I love this color (Boston University Red) It’s the perfect red. It looks a little lighter in the photos than in real life, but I’m very happy with it. I also like that it comes with a gel polish and a regular polish, so I can match my toes (regular polish) to my hands (gel polish). It’s the same brand I used to get at the salon and it lasts a decent bit, just make sure you cure it for long enough. I used the SUN UV LED lamp like they use at the nail salon. I recommend using Gelish foundation flex base coat (and for thin nails Gelish Structure on top of that) and Gelish no wipe top coat. I think it works better than the DND base and top coats, plus that’s what they used to do at my nail salon.

Love this brand, my nail salon uses this brand and I was obsessed with this color and another color and I’ve started doing own nails at home and I’m so glad that I can have my salon colors at home!

Okay this sounds crazy, but the color changed overnight. At first I was annoyed because I used the Lava regular polish on my toes and the Lava Gel polish on my fingers, and the colors didn’t match. My nails looked red and my toes looked the bright orangey red that I expected. As any DIY nail person knows, it takes hours. I didn’t finish my right hand, I was sick of polishing, so I went to bed with my left hand and all toes polished and the nails on my right hand bare. I woke up this morning and finally put the gel on my right hand. Lo and behold, it doesn’t match the left!! Overnight the gel on my left hand turned the same orangey red as my toes, the color I wanted! Now my right hand looks red but I’m going on with my day hoping it catches up to the left. I have no idea how or why this happened, but I’ll take it! Edit: yes, the color changed throughout the day and caught up, both hands were the same color by dinner time

Hard to really see the tone with my phone case. Great quality gel polish. I love the color and it’s one of my staples. A very modest red, not too bright but the perfect everyday color.

Absolutely love this color. Always my fall go to but my nail salon usually is out due to how amazing it is . Decided that I needed my own as a back up. 10 OUT OF 10!

Painted my nails 6 days ago and they still look great! I’m very hesitant to go to a nail salon to get gel nails because they always feel so thick and chip or peel within a week. I’m a nurse and wash my hands constantly. I put base layer, 2 thin layers of polish, and top layer. OMG they’re better than nail salon nails. I have spent 10+ hours in the pool since painting them. I could have done a 3rd thin layer next time. If you struggle with painting your own nails this might be a little struggle.

The application and wear have been great! My only issue is the color is too orange. I tried to get a bright red but it leans orange

Wanna start by saying how obsessed I am with the lava color. However, I bought it to bring to my nail girl for her to do my nails at the nail salon. She put the color on and finish everything and I was in love. It looked so amazing but then as soon as I went out in the natural daylight, the nail started to change color to a darker red. Not that it was ugly, but the reason why I bought this nail polish in the first place was because of the fluorescent orange red color. It is my all-time favorite color. So I was a little bummed out to find out that went outside or out and about it changed. But the weird part is…. When night time came and I went to sleep and woke up in the morning and still was inside. The color would be back to its bright self. It’s so weird! I am just putting on my toes now at home and using my UV light and as soon as I put it under the light, the color turned dark red. I’m going to post a picture of the freshly painted color without going under the light yet next to my toes already finished and you can see the difference. Still both pretty but I’m really wanting it to stay or that fluorescent orange red that it’s supposed to be.The picture is attached and it’s not a huge difference in the photo but you can tell more and natural light in person, the color difference.
