Lots of light, plants love it, nice extra features!
--Overview--+ Lots of light+ Cord included to easily lower/ raise the light+ Plug on back for daisy chaining/ plugging other units into it+ UV LED to increase RESIN/ essential oil+ 100% light panel/ no seperation of the LEDS by a plastic piece like some systems+ Well designed cooling system--Thoughts--This puts out a ton of light, enough to light up the entire room, but able to cover a pretty large area of plants(easily provides enough light for my 4ft table, about 1ft above the top of the plants).I really like they added the outlet to the back of the light, so I can daisy chain it with my other lights, and only have to have one wire hanging from where I have the lights mounted. The adjustable hanger was a nice extra, and easily lets me raise and lower the light with just holding the button on the side of the carabiner hook.--Other Thoughts--The light does get warm since it uses around 300W(measured at 285.5W), with the surface of the light about 30F hotter than the ambient air temperature(by IR thermometer). It does have dual ~5" fans, and cooling slots all over the sides. They aren't loud, but definitely not silent- like a laptop cooking fan roughly. My tomatoes all started turning towards red right after I added it, so they seem to really like it.I was unsure about the UV LED included, but found it's just barely into the UV spectrum, nowhere near the wavelength that can cause issues, but should be able to increase resin and essential oil production in plants, so it's a nice feature as well.(NOTE: the light is slightly pinkish, but my camera made it look extremely red- it's much closer to white, but with a noticeable pink/purple color)--Conclusion--Get this if you're looking for something that lights up a good sized area, and could benefit the adjustable rope and the ability to daisy chain other lights.

No lnger recommend
Can't in good faith recommend this light anymore. There are way better options. If you are looking at this light, chances are you are buying your very first (or second) grow light and you don't want to spend an arm on a leg for a light that ends up not working after 3 months because a fan breaks, etc. You probably also decided on LEDs because you want to minimize your power bill and you still want to grow the dank nugs, and you've seen purple lights in high times so they must work right?IMO, there is no such thing as a good "budget" LED light. They exist, but they will pull less than 100 watts and won't even cover a 2x2 for flower. So, you still want to spend the least amount of money on your light and get the most amount of bang for your buck. What if I told you, you're better off with an CMH? I know, you dont want a high energy bill.... and all that heat! Well, CMH lights don't run THAT much hotter than blurple LEDs and will produce WAY better and WAY more nugs than this light which also pulls 300w from the walls! The growers choice 315w CMH is $250 on heavygardens.com and that is the best CMH light you can buy. A cheaper sunsystem 315cmh with a built in ballast is available for under $200!!!!You may need to do some air conditioning, and you need a tent with higher ceilings (I recommend 80" at least for ALL tents).Anyway, I chased the LED crave for awhile and spent a lot of money on lights. I now use a hybrid LED / Ceramic HPS (hortilux bulb) and hybrid LED / Ceramic Metal Halide (Phillips bulb) setup and am growing the best quality flower of my entire LIFE!If you MUST buy an LED, here are the companies I can recommend:rapidled.comhorticulturelightinggroup.comcobshop.netmigrolight.comAlso, spectrum king is a GREAT brand. The closet case and mothers little helper are great lights and they are the only company to make a true 1000w HPS replacement light which can't even be used in a tent (since a 1000w shouldnt be either!)....

Superb engineering at a great value
WOW!! I'm simply amazed at the build quality of my new Growstar 1500W LED Grow Light. It absolutely delivers phenomenally bright full-spectrum lighting that's far superior to my old HID. It is perfect for my 80 x 80 grow tent running surprisingly cool and quiet for it's extremely high light output. Don't ignore the cautions to avoid looking at this light without dark sunglasses. I can't even look inside the tent without going snow-blind for the next 5 minutes! The real shocker here though is that I'm getting this superb lighting for a measly 300 Watts!! My plants LOVE it and so do I. 5 Stars on this super good deal is a no-brainer! My only niggling complaint is that they only supply 1 ratcheting hanger when 2 are clearly needed to properly hang this light leaving the buyer the hassle of acquiring the other one.

All I can say is wow!
This is my second light from Growstar and like the first one, I was thrilled with how well it was packaged. This is very important to me, as I have received fragile items before that were broken during shipping, due to the manufacturer’s lack of secure and adequate boxing. At just over 9lbs, this light packs the wallop of a 1000 watt HID in an extremely small footprint and is actually brighter! Don’t be fooled by the look of the LEDS, when it is on and please do not look directly into without your protective glasses! The light offers the full spectrum, including red, blue, white, orange, yellow, IR and UV, simulating actual sunlight. It can be daisy chained, runs very quietly, with the two fans sounding pretty much like a PC and gives off so much less heat than a 1000 watt MH or HPS. It comes with a pair of green lens protective glasses, a hanging kit and a set of yoyo hangers.I would also add that the Growstar team is very customer friendly and will answer any questions and along with the included 3 year warranty, you can’t go wrong with this light. I see a third purchase in the near future and may want to add their 2000 watt model to my set up. I will update my review with a video in the near future.
