This beater is a slightly different shape than the original, but it fits my 40+ year old 5 qt lift bowl KitchenAid K5SS perfectly. I am so glad not to have to worry any more about ingesting bits of the white coating that were flaking off the old beater. Well made product. Update: I’ve been using it for about a month. It doesn’t get as close to the sides of the bowl as the original beater blade did. When creaming butter, I have to scrape the bowl more often and there is a thicker layer stuck to the bowl. Wish it were just slightly wider. But otherwise it works great and is easier to clean than the original.

I purchased this stainless steel beater to replace the one that came with my KitchenAid mixer because the enamel began flaking off. I'm so happy that I did. The new beater is very well made, fits my mixer perfectly and functions just as well as the KitchenAid beater. I didn't have to adjust the hub to get the proper depth so that the beater cleared the bowl, but but for those who do need to make adjustments the vendor is thoughtful enough to include a picture on Amazon showing how it should be done. That courtesy is what had me buying from AIRKITREP instead of the others. KitchenAid, get rid of the enameled beaters!

Good alternative to kitchen aid brand. This is defintiley not as great of a fit as the kitchen aid brand but it’s so much cheaper! I accidentally put my aluminum coated attachment in the dishwasher and didn’t want to repurchase a new kitchen aid one.. it’s lightweight and seems like it will be durable due to stainless steel. Can go in the dishwasher so that’s great for easy cleaning.

Such a great replacement for my original which had a problem with the finish coming off. This one is easy to clean and works great with my mixer!

While I fully appreciate this stainless paddle, and no longer fear the enamel chipping off the factory version, this doesn't come very close to the inner surface of the bowl. So when creaming butter or something like that, you soon have all your butter splattered against the bowl, and out of reach of the paddle. Not bad for liquid jobs, like cake batter, as long as you keep scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula. I cannot recommend it as a fully suitable replacement.

Fits our 5 quart mixer perfectly. Very high-quality. All stainless steel so very durable.
