Q: Will the gel drip in desert weather (105+ temps)?

This is the best product for keeping ants off of your pets food dishes. It really works. I can’t say for sure if the gel (vaseline) will drip at that temperature but, in Virginia it got into the upper 90’s - 100 ... it never dripped but it did get softer and seamed to spread out so, at that time I wiped the legs out and added new gel. I put the 4 legs on a small cookie sheet then placed it on another cookie sheet same size and it worked out great.

Q: How do you attach the legs to the tray when the adhesive is on one side only?

On the leg, there is a thin film to remove from the adhesive and it sticks to the bottom of the tray.

Q: What is the weight they will withstand?

I don't know for sure but I would think not too much, as they are designed to hold a tray for pet food. I have them attached to a large sheet pan, about 12 x 16 and use a couple of 8 ounce stainless steel pet bowls.

Q: Do the ants get stuck in the gel or they just can't cross it?

There is never any ants or bugs in the gel. You do have to clean the debris out from the gel from time to time. Keep the gel legs clean. The Insect Blocking Gel creates a physical barrier that is too goopy for ants and some other crawling insects to walk across. It is a mineral oil based gel made from 100% food grade ingredients that is formulated to keep its consistency at a wide range of temperatures. It won't melt or dry up in hot weather. It doesn't trap ants. I had this product for over 4 years now and I love it!! I bought the gel and legs and made my own bigger trays out of sheet pans. I buy the sheet pans big and small size, at Sam's club and make my own trays up. I do have a premade tray form BugSnub also. I love BugSnub! Before BugSnub I use to have a million ants all over my outdoor kitty food bowls. Now there are NO Ants anywhere!! It's amazing! you will love BugSnub!!!
