Been using it for a few months before the auto focus function stopped working. Contacted the manufacturer and they wanted to see some videos I'd taken. They agreed it wasn't working properly but then the focus came back on its own without me doing anything. However, this week it's stopped working again which means I can't get my videos uploaded. Would choose a different brand if buying again.

This is definitely a worthy successor to their older V500S which I've been using for several years. Decided to get this for myself for Christmas and give the old one to a coworker. An excellent choice.I love having the physical buttons on the camera. Make using this with other software super easy. The additional LED light bar on the arm is also a nice touch when doing some scanning with the OCR function in the software. I'm pleased that OCR is MUCH better than it used to be and I've scanned several worksheets already - faster than running to the copier down the hall.Only problem I've had is I have an old i3 computer at work that struggles to keep a constant framerate with this camera, especially at higher resolutions. Recording through the JoyUsing Visualizer is a laggy experience on a crummy old computer, but it worked just fine on my PC at home. It has no issues in OBS or in the IPEVO Visualizer software, though.I definitely recommend this for the classroom. It's leaps and bounds ahead of their older model.

Terrible experience with this camera and the software, too. Barely worked at all. Very glitchy. I had to throw it away yesterday after only using a handful of times (purchased 6 months ago). Buttons on the device are not clickable, they are just flat with the device, and hardly ever work. Software sucks. Waste of my money.

Sad to report this doc camera would not work with either Mac or pc or any projector we tried. Hope we can get a refund.
