Snap Supply Dryer Gas Valve Coil Kit for Whirlpool 279834

my Dryer went out....I diagnosed the solenoid as the problem, this kit fixed me up.I paid for next day shipping which was expensive compared to the product cost but, I was up and running in 1 day.Note that on my dryer one of the valve shafts has a metal sleeve that must be transferred to the new solenoid and is not obvious as it came up and was inside the original unit when I removed it.

Our dryer began operating normally w/o heating up. Could see that gas was not igniting, but igniter wasn't bad (glowing). Suspected lack of gas (no smell of gas being released). Replaced both valves. Upon examination, the plastic between the motor shaft and the valve had stripped (visible) on one valve.

They work as advertised but I wish there was a way to either ohm them out or check continuity with these. I recently repaired a GE gas dryer with these but the problem was figuring out if it was the coils or gas valve.

great product. one thing I learned, only replace the coils if the igniter still lights but dyer is not heating up. Coils control the gas.
