Great Carry-On Luggage for International Travel
This is a thoughtfully designed piece of luggage for both domestic and international travel. The bag itself is robust and well-made and did not present any issues during my travel from the west coast of the US to Turkey, across a total of 5 different flights.I've owned many pieces of luggage over the years and prefer carry-on bags where the opening splits the bag into two equally sized compartments, and this bag does it quite well with the interior buckle divider and mesh pocket. As a bonus, the bag also comes equipped with a plastic, detachable pouch for small liquid toiletries, which makes traveling through security checkpoints a breeze as you can quickly remove the bag for screening and then quickly re-secure it inside the bag. The bag is also expandable for extra storage, though this is likely to require the bag to be checked, as it will be larger than carry-on requirements. Either way, it's a nice design in case you are returning with more items than when you departed.Perhaps the best unique feature of the bag is the hidden compartment inside the interior divider. This compartment is accessible from the exterior of the bag via a topside zipper, and for me this was used as a very convenient place to store travel documents such as negative COVID test results and entry forms that are often required for international travel. You could also use this to store a laptop or tablet if the bag is not already completely packed to the brim.Lastly, the bag also has very convenient exterior hooks, which I used to carry the bag that housed my travel pillow.Overall, it's a great bag, I have no regrets in purchasing it, and I'll be looking forward to using it again when I return to Turkey in a few weeks.

Well thoughout luggage!
I travel almost 1/4 of the year due to the nature of my career, and I’ve been through so many suitcases (expensive to inexpensive), backpacks, sacks, duffels, you name it. As a frequent traveler, I try to pack light and efficient. I usually don’t leave reviews unless it is very good or bad. The reason I’m writing my first review on luggage is because this luggage has made my travel experience (so far, 1 travel) much easier and lighter! And so far the best I’ve tried. Here are my reasons.Expandable hidden pocket: This is the key feature of this bag. In the picture seemed like a laptop compartment, and couldn’t tell how it works but I decided to give it a try. And guess what! this pocket made me get rid of my backpack that I travel with all times. (and the burden off my shoulder) Not only fits my laptop, it is large enough to fit my wallet, keys, etc. And the good part of this is I can open from the top without having to open the suitcase! In the inside, this expandable pocket works a divider and since it is hanging in the middle of the suitcase it has cushions for both front and back once I pack so I feel secure to put my Samsung Notebook 9 I recently purchased along with my wallet and keys. (note: you cannot access from the inside, which could be a good idea too, but I’m sufficed with this feature)Also, the bottom grip handle is a good feature which I thought it was meaningless in a carry-on bag, but I assume not all can lift the luggage with one hand and this balanced lifting feature is a good feature that makes the lift more balanced rather than forcing your top handle that could rip off just like my previous suitcase.

Lightweight and Sturdy
You can store a lot in this 22". Love the center pocket. Wheels move freely even on bumpy surfaces.

Yes! It actually DOES meet the newer, restrictive carry-on requirements
I was kind of panicked after taking delivery of the suitcase just a day before I needed to leave on an international trip upon which the as-advertised dependability of the suitcase's features depended. Well, okay, it wasn't going to cancel my trip, but if the case had to be checked, it was going to result in LOTS of baggage fees, well exceeding the cost of a nice, new, way more expensive suitcase. When I measured the case at home, it was a 1/2-inch over the airlines' stated maximums -- uh-oh.But, as you can see by the pictures, there was no problem carrying-on the suitcase, and I was on at least 3 or maybe even 5 (I forget the details) different airlines with no problems in a multi-stop international trip.Another reviewer recommended applying silicone to the zipper to keep it from sticking. I'd recommend against that: the case now has a rather persistent silicone smell and the odor could permeate your clothing and the suitcase lining. I also siliconed the handle slide and hardware, and the wheels. So they all worked great, but that might've not really been needed. On one part of my trip, I decided to walk about a mile pulling the case rather than wait for a shuttle bus that I wasn't sure was going to show up anyway. The wheels worked fine. I also pulled the case easily around 3 - 5 miles in total over city streets, train platforms, and to the complete other side of Logan (if you know what I'm talking about, that's a good 20-minute walk). No problems. Well, the handle could've been a bit more comfortable and nice big inline-skate style wheels would've been better, but not sure you're going to find those type of upgrades at this price point.Inside, the case is pretty well designed. If you expand the zipper to get the other 2"+ inches of thickness out of the case -- it will no longer fit as carry-on! But that's no surprise. So the extra 2" option is nice if you're checking it.The hidden pocket is a very nice feature, but I didn't find it terribly useful when actually rolling the suitcase, because you must unzip the expandable part of the case to access it. Therefore, you're not going to be using it as carry-on. Also, if your case is pretty full, which is easy to do since it's a fairly small case, anything in the hidden pocket is going to be pressed by the case contents, making insertion and removal of items from the product inconvenient (you sort of have to jam things in.) Nevertheless, overall, this is a very good case for the money. Why not 5 stars? I'd say it's not a PERFECT case from a design standpoint (as mentioned above), and also, I'd be concerned about it's durability for a frequent traveler, especially if the case were loaded heavily and checked frequently. Cloth, zippers, slightly flimsy feeling handles, and a thin-ish case material, I expect, will wear or break rather quickly. It comes with a 10-year warranty, "(original sales receipt required)," so maybe you'd put some stock in that if something breaks. (Not to impugn the reputation of Olympia International, but I'm a little skeptical of the value of the warranty. I hope I wouldn't have to pay shipping back to them, effectively making the warranty a huge pain.) But for the occasional traveler who wants a bargain and a very functional suitcase, I think you'll be quite pleased. (The extra money for the colors seems a little silly, but if you're style conscious....)For my purposes, I'd buy it again and I recommend it.
