Zheino 32GB SSD S1 2.5 inch SATA III 2D MLC SSD Drive Solid State Drive (7mm) for Desktop Laptop Mini PC

It worked perfectly with an old notebook PC from 2008 with SATA 2. It took about an hour to do a clean install of Windows 10 Home 64 bit version 1803 and finish the updates. The notebook is much faster than it was with a hard drive. Cold booting is faster with the solid state drive than waking it up from sleep with the hard drive. Windows 10 says the capacity is 30.9 billion bytes. I assume the remaining space is used for a restore partition. No errors were found during a scan. Optimizing the drive with trim happened quickly. SMART data showed good health, zero hours of use, and a steady temperature of 113 degrees Fahrenheit.The drive was in a plastic bag and surrounded by foam rubber inside a bagged cardboard box. The exterior looked great but felt cheap. I can't complain for such a great value. It was a gamble to choose one of cheapest SSDs on Amazon from an unknown brand, but Zheino made a good first impression. I would buy a larger capacity version from Zheino if the need arose.

Bought this SSD to replace my laptops old 5200rpm hard drive. This SSD is cheap comparing to the other brand and works pretty well.

Perfect! Received in one day. Cloned old drive using Macrium Reflect Free - 40 minutes. Removed old drive, installed SSD and VIOLA! My old Inspiron 2305 has new life for less than $40 bucks.Wonderful!

Perfect for Windows OS/boot drive

Though faster than a HDD, not as fast as they claim. I really notice a major change when booting up a fresh install of Windows. From a cold start to being on the desktop in roughly 30 seconds was a lot better than 3-5 mins it took an old WD Green drive to boot up. Using CrystalDiskmark the scores beat my WD Green HDD by more than double. I tried raising the test parameters to a larger test file but the same result each time.Some people only see the B-I-G numbers on CrystalDiskmark and assume that applies for all the drive activity. The first row of numbers ONLY apply to a single large uncompressed file. The second row is for everyday back and forth transferring of smaller files and that's the numbers to be looking at. They are practically the same as the first line which tells me the drive is good and consistent.Most drives give B-I-G numbers on the first row but dreadful numbers on the 2nd row. But they are both relatively the same so I am impressed as it even beat two other name brand drives I had lying around. Both are TLC and this one is MLC so I don't know if that has anything to do with it as this is my first MLC drive. All I know is MLC will last longer because data is only 2 per bit and not 3 per bit like the TLC drives. Which means less write cycles and longer life.The drive itself is inserted into a stamped ALUMINUM cover. It's not plastic as one person claimed. But the top cover and bottom are two separate mounted pieces so it feels plastic, but it is not. Heat wise I am getting heat readings of 32°C as I have it mounted directly to my case so it acts like a heat sink. Under load it doesn't twitch much beyond 32°C ~ the highest I saw under load was when I was processing a video conversion and it moved to 37°C. But once I was done, it reverted back down to 32°C.Now my only hope is that it will last. It's almost a month now and no errors or other issues other reviewers listed. I'll update in a few months.**Update on November 1, 2020**The drive works fine, just as the first day I installed it a new installation of Windows 10 Pro. It still only requires 30 seconds or less from a cold boot to get to the login screen. That part I love as my old WD Green took what seemed like forever.

For the first couple of weeks use, this SSD had a long delay before it started delivering data - like half a minute to a minute.This is with a fresh Windows 7 install on the SSD.I honestly don't know if this item has or is lacking the circuitry to play nice with a laptop's power-management functions.System reporting utilities report it in reality being a Chinon drive. Zeino is a re-branding.

Después de decenas de intentos con todas las combinaciones posibles de la BIOS etc, no consigo que mi portátil ASUS arranque con este disco conectado internamente, aunque sí funciona con una caja externa de SATA-USB.Para instalarle el S.O. tengo un Pen con la instalación de windows 10. Si pongo en el portátil otro disco duro o nada, cuando lo enciendo lee el USB e inicia la instalación de Windows, pero si tengo el Zheino SSD conectado nada, se queda la pantalla en negro.También he probado haciendo clonaciones de otros discos a este Zheino SSD pero nada, el portátil no arranca.No sé si es un problema del disco o una incompatibilidad con el portátil ASUS, pero, en resumen, tengo un USB externo de 256 gigas muy caro.

Quando provo questi ssd di Marche sconosciute non so mai cosa aspettarmi ma visto il rapporto quantità gb /prezzo ho voluto provarlo per rianimare un vecchio Mac. Al momento il disco sta funzionando benissimo ravvivando notevolmente l' hardware su cui l' ho montato. Non avrà le prestazioni di brand più blasonati ma appunto, ho voluto montarlo su una macchina che non riuscirebbe comunque a sfruttare la potenza dei nuovi ssd.Al momento sono soddisfattissimo!

Such a great hard drive. I used to have a non solid state drive that I would load movies and tv shows on to and plug in to my smart tv and it was so slow and sometimes would even crash so I decided to look in to solid state drives and this one seemed to have the best reviews and price. I bought the accompanying case for it and both together work very well. Sturdy, small and light. Also it boots up and loads the movies on the smart tv so much faster than the old harddrive
