Walking on Water

I have read other books by Tony de Mello. I like his clear and direct style. I look forward to reading this volume and more of his writings.

I have read several books by Anthony DeMello, but I think this one might be my favorite. Each chapter is like a little chat with Anthony about a given subject, like peace,happiness, or prayer. My favorite is the chapter on freedom in which he goes through the things that most commonly bind us away from reality. Anthony DeMello employs both eastern and western spiritual traditions in each of these little discourses to nudge you toward spiritual awakening. If you think of spirituality as a quest to rid oneself from illusions and embrace truth, this is a book you will not want to miss.

It's so honest and true; you can read it over and over again. You will remember the short stories for many years to come and use them for sure. It's about waking up from our deep sleep from our every day life. We keep ourselves so busy, with work, family, vacations, drama, there is so much more to each of us, so much beauty in each us.

D Mello is one of my favorite writers. each word, phrase, sentence and paragraph makes you ponder on how they are relevant to your life today.I spend at least an hour a day re-visiting his books.

One of de Mello's *finest* works. . . right up there with "Awareness." . . . Consider also, Dr. Margaret Paul's, joy de vivre! crowning work, "Do I Have to Give Up Me to Be Loved by God?" Cannot recommend these highly enough!!

Anyone who wants to live life without all the nonsense their thoughts often add to it should study this book. DeMello poses questions to the reader that cause one to step back and reconsider his or her interpretation of events and their responses. This book is not for those who think they know it all...

There is only one parallel for Anthony de Mello and he is none other than J. Krishnamurti. Both are amazing.

This book has so much wisdom in it you'll want to read it again and again. I would recommend reading his Awareness book first. Those two books have helped me through very hard times in my life. Highly recommend this book!!!!

This was a great spiritual gift at this time for me and I have already found others who love it.
