Good mid-level timing-light at a good price.
Nice, well made, timing light for home repairs. Though maybe not tough enough for a professional mechanic, this timing light works great for us amateurs. I checked the timing on my vehicle using both the flywheel marks and the marks on the idler pulley in bright sunlight and the strobe on this timing light was still bright enough that I could see the mark. It seems well made and sturdy and was very easy to use. I chose the model with the built-in tachometer because I was doing the work alone. If you have help, you may just want to stick with the cheaper model and have someone tell you the revs from the tachometer on the instrument cluster. This timing-light Includes a good set of instructions as well. The only downside was the packaging. I really wish manufactures of all different kinds of products would move away from using the plastic clamshell, or at the very least away from the fused clamshell. Those things are a pain to open and the sharp plastic can easily injure you when opening it. Minor issue though. The product worked as advertised and was a good price.

Awesome
Best timing light I've ever had. Easy to use too. Love the advance feature oh and the RPM reading is so handy, priceless. To Innova: can we have a case for it soon please? There's one on here advertised to fit it but give another AI this model # and the dimensions of that case. Says it cannot possibly fit. Thats what I said... we need a case please.

Nice and Easy
Never had either a timing light or tachometer before, so i cannot compare the Equus 3568 to anything else. Had i known how useful and easy-to-use it was, and how affordable, i would have purchased it sooner! Seems well-built, with an easily-read display and rubbery plastic pushbuttons commonly found on electronics in modern times. The 3568 made it vastly easier to troubleshoot and adjust my totally non-running Slant 6 engine. I did find that when the engine would not start, the 3568 would not fire on any single cylinder's plug... not sure if that was due to too-low a firing voltage or the RPMs being slow enough that the 3568 chose not to read. I moved the pickup to the coil wire, and that gave me flashes and the cranking timing information i needed. Once the engine was again running, it was extremely easy to adjust both idle speed and basic timing. With my engine running a bit unevenly at first, it was hard to mentally average the RPM display (this would be true of any digital RPM display that did not have a specific averaging function). Other than that, it was dirt-easy and dirt-simple to use this fine tool. If i were making a feature request to Actron, it would be to add either of a manually-invoked averaging function for the RPM display for engines not (yet) running smoothly, or a bargraph analog RPM display, weighted to average, below the digital display (similar to a Fluke 77 multimeter). Since this would only be needed for an engine not running smoothly, it would be a nice bonus, yet not essential. I did OK with the 3568 as it is, until things were dialed-in enough to be fairly smooth. Again, i cannot compare the Equus 3568 to any competing products, yet i am wholly satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend this timing light/tachometer to anyone.

Great for timing old school VWs
Exactly what was needed to dial in timing on my 71 super beetle. Helpful to set the timing degrees at different stages of carburetor and distributor setup.

Works flawlessly!
Well worth the money and performs very well. I would recommend this tool to any auto technician or individual with a car that has a distributor. This timing light is very user friendly and makes the task of adjusting ignition timing seamless.
