The Rolling Square EDGE Pro Full Kit includes a strong 1000-lumen LED light, a magnetic phone holder, and a Qi wireless charger. It is made up of a sleek modular system. It puts your phone next to your laptop at eye level, which is excellent for getting work done and switching between tasks. The N52 magnets hold firmly, and the CNC-machined aluminium parts feel high-end. However, thick cases may make the grip weaker. The wireless charger can charge devices up to 15W, and the light has five brightness and colour settings and can run for up to an hour on a single charge.

It functions pretty well, just make sure your phone's aligned with the magnet so it doesn't drop. Setup is a little confusing if your phone does support Qi2/MagSafe/magnetic holders, since there's then so many superfluous parts - all you need is to stick the plate on your laptop and attach the magnetic core bit. Massive missed opportunity to make the light wirelessly powered/charged from the charger. They do connect, but you have to plug the light itself in (or run from battery). There's also no particular reason (especially if you then couldn't buy the core and the light without the wireless charger) not to have the charger integrated directly into the core: if you don't want to charge, just don't plug it in, it needn't be multiple pieces. Even the short cable is a little longer than necessary, at least on a MacBook Pro, Framework, or any other laptop with USB-C near the back. Not a big deal, just could be tidier. The build quality is not brilliant, quickly accumulating scratches, a glued-on cover on the core plate immediately popping off, and the LED light just seeming a bit 'light' and flimsy. Not *bad*, just not what you expect for the quite steep price (around £70 at time of writing). Overall, it feels like the first pass at a cool concept, that should cost about £15 or else be much better built, and feature more refined design choices such as wirelessly charging light.

Easy to attach and appears to be well made, sleekly styled and functional, strong enough to hold a iPhone in place and doesn’t take up lot of space, nice accessories for any desktop or laptop.

Edge Pr Core is a good workstation which fits on to your laptop, tablet or most computers. You can have your phone held magnetically next to your laptop computer screen, you wont have to keep picking it up and putting it down again. Edge Pro Core is designed to attach the magnetic 1000 lumen light and the wireless charger on it so your phone can charge wirelessly. You can change the position of the phone and light to suit yourself. You can use your phone for countless task such as video conferencing or entertainment across screens or even gaming. It's only the width of 2 credit cards so is very thin. It's both robust and versatile, I have found this set up to be wonderful and it saves time. You can be talking on your phone whilst searching for information on the computer so it's time saving too. Being as I am not a technical person I played the short video a few times so that the contents were in my head before I began to set it up, else the video would be playing and I would be messing about wondering what the things on my desk were, so I made sure I had a good idea of everything before I began I suppose in all it took around half to three quarters of an hour, which isn't too bad when you think how good this little set up is and what you can do with it. Absolutely brilliant made accessory! Very high quality construction that sits perfectly with my apple products design. Looks beautiful and feels solid. Works very well with strong magnets. This could easily be a genuine apple product in my eyes. Great that’s it’s so versatile too can be used as a standalone charger or as a continuity camera with my MacBook and just as a magnetic holder too. Brilliant and highly recommended.

I wanted a simple kit for putting my phone next to my screen and this looked like it would offer the best versatility of all, with the addition of the wireless charge puck and a variable front-facing light (making lighting during video calls better). Unfortunately, it failed at the first hurdle for me as I have an Android phone and the magnetic ring stopped my phone from being wirelessly chargeable. I suspect those with newer iPhone with built-in magnets and lower specification Android phones that do not have wireless charging would be fine but since I do not have one of these, this aspect of the kit is worthless to me. For the extras, the wireless charge puck works with my phone, although the phone has to be placed on it and it is a slower speed charge than my phone will take (again, I believe it was all set up for iPhones with Android being an afterthought here too). The light is the only part of the kit that actually works for me and is great for providing the front facing light that video calling benefits from. It is however not worth the cost of the kit alone.

Ich möchte hier jetzt gar nicht viel zu dem Rolling Square Edge Pro Full Kit schreiben, da hier schon einiges gesagt worden ist. Das Full Set beeinhaltet den Ständer, den Wireless Charger und die Lampe. Mittlerweile nutze ich den Ständer tagtäglich und der Wireless Charger kommt bei zwar mir nicht jeden Tag, aber sehr häufig in Kombination mit einer Powerbank zum Einsatz und ist ebenso wie der Ständer ein Dauerbegleiter in meinem Rucksack und genau das ist mein Einsatzgebiet. Ich nutze die beiden Komponenten ausschließlich mobil beim täglichen pendeln und dafür ist es grandios. Der Ständer hält an meinem iPhone 14 Pro super fest und der Charger hält ebenso gut. Was mir hier sehr gut gefällt, dass das USB C Kabel nicht wie beim originalen Apple Magsafe Charger fest sondern eingesteckt wird. Gerade unterwegs ist das für das aufbewahren und auch Haltbarkeit wesentlich besser. Mein Apple Magsafe Charger hatte nämlich irgendwann einen Kabelbruch und war ein Fall für die Tonne. Die Verarbeitung aller Komponenten wie auch das Licht ist sehr gut und da gibt es rein gar nichts zu bemängeln. Auch nicht Apple User können aufgrund diverser aufklebbarer Magnet Ringe ihr Android usw Phone nutzen. Wie das ganze hält kann ich leider nicht sagen, aber ich denke es wird halten. Das Licht hat einen Akku (wird per USB C geladen) integriert und kann per Knopfdruck verschiedene Lichtstärken einstellen. Ich nutze das Licht nicht für Videotelefonie oder ähnliches und kann jetzt daher nicht sagen ob es zu hell oder was auch immer ist. Ich nutze es derzeit abends am Schreibtisch als "kleine Schreibtischlampe" und dafür ist es super. Wenn ich es nicht brauche packe ich es einfach in meine Schublade und gut ist. Am Wochenende waren wir in einem Wohnwagen der im "Küchenbereich" leider sehr dunkel ist und auch hier das hat das Licht in dem Moment einen super Job gemacht. Ob ich es jetzt damit richtig ausnutze sei mal dahin gestellt, aber so erfüllt die Lampe aufgrund der leichten und kompakten Bauform bei mir absolut ihren Zweck und ich bin zufrieden. Preislich gesehen ist es nicht günstig, aber auf der anderen Seite ist halt die Verarbeitung sehr gut und das flexible Einsatzgebiet ist schon eine Ansage und darum geht es ja am Ende des Tages. Ich bin mit dem ganzen Zeit für mein Einsatzgebiet absolut zufrieden.

So frustrated - the PRO kit has the “complete set” but it only has one magnet, so it won’t hold a tablet. It shows in the picture that it’ll hold a tablet but just in small print that it only includes one. For the price i was sure it would’ve included two. Returning and buying two magnets. So infuriating.

As I'm planning to replace my laptop in the next month or so, I'm not permanently attaching this kit yet. But I checked it out and am looking forward to being able to use it with my new machine soon. In the mean time, the charger and the light are both viable on their own, which is cool. This kit consists of the Core, which attaches to the back of your laptop screen and holds your phone or light as needed. The weird roll of wire included there is to remove magnets, which is interesting but had me really confused until I looked at the docs. There's a wireless phone charger that can clip onto the Core, doubling as a phone mount so you can either use your phone as a second screen or a second camera/mic with Continuity on Mac or the like. There's a self-contained battery-powered LED light as well, which can be used with the EDGE Pro Core as well as as a standalone device. With two of the cores you can mount a tablet, assuming your laptop can handle it. I usually don't read the reviews before writing one, but I wanted to see how others were using it. I may end up installing the adhesive part of the Core on a laptop shell/case instead of directly on the laptop, based on some feedback there. I can say that while this is my first accessory of this sort from Rolling Square, I have used and loved their 4-in-1/6-in-1 type cables. They aren't attached semi-permanently to my laptop though, so we'll see how this works out with the new machine.

Je suis fan du concept, je travaille beaucoup sur mon ordinateur portable et je suis parfois amené à travailler en dehors de mon bureau. Ce kit me permet de retrouver un certain confort tout en étant en déplacement. En accrochant mon téléphone, je l'utilise comme un "second écran", ce qui me permet d'avoir plus d'espace sur l'écran de l'ordinateur portable. Les supports se fixent bien et ils ne bougent pas d'un poil. Il n'y a pas de risque de chute. Le set complet est plutôt cher surtout pour ceux qui n'utilisent pas la charge sans fil. La lumière est très pratique et la possibilité de choisir la luminosité est très pratique, je recommande.
