STRAT STYLE DIY 12 STRING ELECTRIC GUITAR LUTHIER BUILDER KIT PROJECT

either I'm a very person or what I received was truly a work of art, after I put this somewhat easy build together I was very amazed on how well this build sounded, like any setup there was some fret work, nut filing, intonation, some screws on the pick guard where over tightened and loose (a toothpick and wood glue fixed that), the strap anchors retaining screws were too short, they stripped out very easily, the tuners are wobbly, but they maintain their tuning.this was my first build from a kit, I had rebuilt and did a lot setups on a variety of musicians rigs with great success, so i didn't go into this totally blind. the pickups are what I thought they would be, like any strat type guitar they have a "bright" tone even at the neck pickup, my choice for any 12 string electric would more of a deep bass like tone, but not too much to drown out the octave strings, This is now my everyday choice, finertip allowing..any 12 string is tough on fingertips regardless of the action height !! I will do this again for sure, I'm very happy with results and the sounds

as kits go, this one was really a matter of finishing the body and neck, assembly was a snap.
