Was really excited to receive this rod rack and it didn't take long to be really disappointed. I gotta say, the idea is very good, but the "universal" mounting hardware absolutely would not work in a 2006 4Runner. (incidentally a super popular outdoors vehicle) The entire system is held up ONLY by a grab bar on each side. If your grab bar is too close to the ceiling and will not move or swing, THIS HARDWARE KIT WILL NOT WORK! IN A WILDLY POPULAR VEHICLE! I spent 2 hours trying tricks and fiddling with the bloody things. I finally gave up on it and reboxed it for a return, and then I decided that I liked the idea enough to start over. I trash canned the entire mounting system and simply pinned the main bars across the ceiling with the grab bars. It looks like a 5 year old installed it but the actual rod hangers are well made and clip on nicely and are adjustable. Whoever makes this rack is onto something if they'll fix the mounting system. I'm giving it 2 stars simply because the cross bars and rod holders are very nice. Otherwise it would have been a 1. And I'm hard to disappoint. And I'm still thinking I should have sent it back and let the dogs continue to smash rods.

Love this fishing pole holder. Our vehicle only has rear grab handles. This fully adjustable holder works perfectly. Easy to install, and easy to remove when not using.

Great when im alone But Hangs down to low with the rods in the holder No one can sit in the back seats of my jeep!

Item showed up and half the parts were missing and broken. Stay away.

This works great. It built well. It's easy to install and use. Good value.

We love to go camping quite often. However, I usually drive my Toyota Sienna minivan or my wife's Toyota RAV4. There are 5 of us (3 children under 11 years old). So that being said, ot could be quite cramped with all the equipment we carry. This rack is perfect for my minivan (at least while my children are small), not so great for the RAV4 (not so much high clearance). It's lenght is adjustable and definitely a game changer when we go to the lake because now I can bring our fishing poles without worrying about then getting damaged. Just keep in mind that it works better in my minivan because I do not use the third row of seats.
