Did exactly the job I wanted it for - organising my cook books, without breaking the bank. Fitted nicely in the space. Easy enough to put together. Hardboard back bows a little but the rest is sturdy - good value.

it’s so cute i love it. you can fit several books into each of the squares. and the instructions recommend working with 2 people to build it, however i did it by myself and it wasn’t easy to build but it was hard to keep things in place while i did screw stuff in. it’s a very good price for how nice it is and i can see myself ordering another one if this one gets full. it is very spacious and i think it could fit alot of books - or other items. the quality is very nice, there was no scratches or bumps when it arrived and everything was packaged nicely, however when you’re nailing try to remember to aim downwards otherwise your nail will go through the thin backboard - though this is a problem i caused myself. it comes with an information pack in several languages, just note that when it says raw side up - put all your white sides to face the ground. it also comes with a little plastic bag with all the screws you need plus an extra one, it also comes with nails for the backboard too which are not difficult to put in. and you only need 2 tools to complete the shelf - a hammer and a phillips screwdriver

Great price seems sturdy, need a few more bigger ones. Would be great for inside built in wardrobes. Might spray it silver or change colour but it's good for the price

I chose these based on size for a diy built in shelving unit for a problem alcove. The quality is as good as anything you might find in that big blue and yellow store. The units were quick and easy to build single handed. As others have said, some of the drilled holes in the shelf edges weren’t accurate, but it was easy enough to guide the screws in the right direction. I glued the backs in place along with the supplied nails for extra strength. I can’t comment on the sticky screw covers as I didn’t use them, instead I painted the units using B&Q furniture paint, the slightly textured finish of the units took the paint nicely without need for any other prep. I may get more to use as standalone bookcases

Good and worth the money

You will find 'identical' bookshelves on Amazon for 1/2 the price. I have made the mistake in the past of going for the cheaper option, and being seriously disappointed by the poor quality. You get what you pay for. This time I spent the extra to buy Amazon's own brand. I am very impressed with this bookshelf. It was easy to assemble, and is very sturdy - even without the back panel. It's a shame Amazon does not make a range of similar items.
