Fun for kids

This whole set is perfect! I love that the canvas is already on its own frame, and can be hung as soon as it is done. The canvas is a nice quality canvas. It comes with the paints, and a nice set of paint brushes. Not the cheap plastic bristle kind. This is a great set for children that are just learning to paint, or have some experience in painting. The pictures aren't filled with a bunch of really tiny areas to paint, which makes it easier for those that are just beginning. There's more than enough paint to do all three paintings as well.

For my three grandchildren, ages 5, 6, and 11, I ordered the Wings Giant Unicorn Paint by Numbers Kit, and they all enjoyed it as an activity. Even though the kit is intended for kids ages 8 to 12, my younger grandchildren, who are 5 and 6, easily identified the majority of the numbers with the paint colors. Given the age recommendation, it makes sense that they had trouble with some of the smaller sections, but they were still able to enjoy the experience without getting annoyed. On the other hand, my 11-year-old completed the painting without any issues.They spent almost two hours using the kit, which gave them a creative and enjoyable way to pass the time while simultaneously strengthening their fine motor and attention abilities. For all of them, it was an excellent starting point for painting. It was that canvases came with hangers, which made it simple to showcase their completed artwork. For the most part, the kit's quality impressed me, and if you don't mind a few flaws in the finished product, I would even suggest it for kids as young as 5. Ideal for imaginative play!

This is a lovely paint by numbers kit. Even though it says it's for kids ages 8 and older, my 4 and 6 year old were able to enjoy the activity. It was a lovely way of learning numbers for my 4 year old, and my 6 year old got to help her. My kids' attention span wasn't strong enough to finish the painting in one sitting, which is fine by me. This is an activity that does occupy a rather large portion of time compared to other activities. The kit themselves were of nice quality. They came with lots of different sized paint brushes. And the best part was that the hanging bit on the frame came already installed. This mommy definitely appreciated that!

Three kids and three full paint by number sets = a win for our family.I'm very pleased with the quality of this set, especially for the price. The designs were easy to see and the spaces were big enough for my kids to paint without issue. The paint itself was good quality. None of it was dried out and it had good coverage. The canvas was good quality and the brushes were also decent.

When my 7-year old daughter saw this kit she was SO excited. She jumped on it, picking her favorite design and getting right to work. She didn't even complete one color before she gave up on it, and after a week and a half has not started it again.A few things we noticed:1. The numbers are very hard to read. Although this might seem to be a positive, as the lighter print makes it show less through paints (but, see #2), it provided a lot of frustration as my daughter could not tell which area had which label. In the photos, they seem pretty clear, but on the canvas, the print is actually quite faint.2. Even with that, the numbers still showed through the paint. Perhaps the non-yellow color would be more opaque, but yellow was not. I am not sure there is enough paint to do multiple coats.3. The paint is shared among the canvases. Many other kits like this have individual paints per canvas, but here, the paint included has to be used for all 3 canvases. This made it more difficult to have multiple kids painting at once, as the paint had to be passed all around the table, or they needed the same color, and it also made it so you couldn't tell if you had enough for more coats. It also potentially means it will be dried out before we get to the other pictures.I did like that a full color poster is included for the design, as it does help to get the idea of where each color is placed. Each canvas also comes with hanging hardware in place, so you do not need to install it yourself. The brushes are fine, standard for this type of kit, but not hard to use.

This is a great paint-by-numbers kit for kids or beginners. The painting spaces are larger than many kits, making it easier for inexperienced hands to keep the paint in the lines. My 12 year old enjoyed the kit very much and spent quite a bit of time perfecting her technique. The kit had all that we needed and we enjoyed it very much!
