Color:1 Black Newly designed alkaline water filter cartridge to minimize the chances of clogging. Drink fresh clean great tasting water with the BPA FREE Naples Naturals 10 cup water filter pitcher. Sits right on your counter or in your refrigerator and is the perfect way to provide great tasting water. Features digital electronic filter life readout lets you know when it's time to change your filter. Newly designed screw in filter protects water better than the old drop in filter designs BPA free plastic easy fill convenient 10 cup capacity filter life the filter should be changed every 70 gallons or roughly 45-60 days depending on water usage. Directions Rinse the filter under cold water for about 30 seconds. Gently tap the filter on the counter (both sides) to ensure the media is proportioned nicely. Remove the water reservoir and screw the filter into the bottom of the reservoir and replace the assembly back into the pitcher. Fill and discard 2-5 pitchers or until the water is clear and there are no more charcoal particles in the pitcher water. Fill and enjoy! The filter should be replaced every 70 gallons or when the filter replacement indicator signals a changed is needed. Do not use with hot water. The Naples Naturals 109 Water Pitcher consists of four major parts: the pitcher body, the upper reservoir, the lid, and the filter cartridge. Inside the product box, the pitcher body, upper reservoir, and lid are all assembled. Inside the upper reservoir is the filter cartridge, wrapped in a foil bag. This filter cartridge is not visible until the lid is removed. The pitcher body, upper reservoir, and lid are wrapped in a single polymer bag, which itself is wrapped in bubble wrap. This can be found directly inside the product box. The outside of the product box itself contains set up and troubleshooting instructions; do not therefore dispose of the product box without reading it. To set up the Life Indicator, press and hold the "SET" button, found on the lid of your water pitcher. When you see "60 Days" as well as four thick horizontal lines appear on the screen, release the button. At this point, the Life Indicator will begin to count down 60 days, which is the average lifespan of a filter cartridge. The four horizontal bars act as a second visualization for the filter lifespan, with four bars indicating 100% life remaining, three bars indicating 75% life remaining, two bars indicating 50% life remaining, and one bar indicating 25% life remaining. After sixty days, the life indicator will display a flashing "0 days" and no horizontal bars, meaning that 60 days has passed and it is recommended that the filter be replaced. The filter has a typical life of 60 days but this can vary significantly depending on usage and on your local water quality. Heavy usage or having to filter water with a high level of contaminants may necessitate changing the filter more frequently; whereas light usage or filtering water that is already relatively clean will allow less frequent replacement. The 60 days timer and four horizontal bars act only as a reminder, and do not measure the actual capacity of the filter cartridge.

Litmus tested, makes alkaline plz read more
In short this filter DOES make acidic tap water alkaline! More details below. I made a few mistakes early on in the use and tried pouring the filtered water out while there was still water in the top "reservoir". The lid popped off and water spilled EVERYWHERE! At least my counter and floor got a good cleaning! I don't think this is too bulky in the fridge compared to other filters I have used. If you're a family unit with more than 1 person drinking from this you may want to get 2.Now to explain my litmus test. I want to call out that I tested when the filter was almost spent according to the display on top. Why? I just got these test strips the other day. These strips are designed to be very accurate and have a short range for testing. How did I test? I emptied the pitcher. Then drew up some tap water into a disposable plastic cup and set it aside. I then ran tap water into the reservoir and let it filter through for about 5 minutes. Once it had filtered, I poured filtered water into a matching disposable plastic cup. I then took 2 strips, 1 one each hand, and dipped into the cups. I tapped the excess water off each, set on a paper towel and let sit for 15 seconds before reading. To be sure I repeated the dip test 2 more times before taking the picture. As a reminder, I performed this litmus test at the END of the filter's lifecycle. I admit I am rather impressed.

PH of 8.5-9 from Oregon Tap water
Tested with PH perfect (also on Amazon) and it did raise the PH level. My OR tap water came in around 4.5 (acidic). I compared to my regular filter (water drop filter - expired) after boiling is a solid 8 (neutral), and then tap water filtered in this Naples natural pitcher, I think somewhere between 8.5-9 (alkaline). Was this helpful? Let me know! Not a dramatic difference but it does appear to do what it says. The other reviews are right tho, the spout/pour action is not particularly designed well and the whole top came off when I try to pour too fast. Now my pants are soaked. Took about 10-15 min to filter.

Hit or miss product, Beware
Positive:1. The price/volume of this pitcher is great. Have a 1 liter brita pitcher that between morning coffee, gym water bottle, and daily home use will have to be refilled a minimum of half a dozen times and the process is slow. Being double the size for this price was very appealing and the overall look and design seemed more pleasant compared to my Brita.2. Taste is fantastic. Most people seem to have verified in the reviews already that it does what it is advertised as doing, I didn't do any tests and honestly to me, water is water, at best I can tell you if it tastes bad. It does however not seem to hinder the flavor of the water in any capacity, tastes great, no issues there.3. Filters process the water much faster than my brita pitcher filters. Not having to wait as long when filling it was something I imagined was going to be a great boon. Putting on the filter is easy as well, very simple screw mechanism.Negative:1. Filter stops working when pitcher is just over halfway full which nullifies the both 1 and 3 of my positive points. I have taken the filter and squeezed its sides, tapped it a bit, as suggested in the instructions and removed and recrewed the filter back in but after multiple tries the pitcher will fill to just over half then will not allow any more water to come through.2. Because of the above issue, if you try to fill it to even 3/4 capacity, it creates a huge issue when pouring the pitcher as the water in the reserve will come pouring out when trying to pour due to not being filtered into the main pitcher.3. The way it is designed with the three separating pieces, if you fill the reserve area up too much it will leak really bad. Some reviews said they have tried sealing this part but I simply just fill it a little over halfway then wait and do the same again which seems to work fine but disappointing none the less.I wanted to give a lower rating but there are a ton of people of have legitimately been able to make it work or had no problems what so ever. I will try a couple more filters and see if things change before lowering my rating but currently I think it is pretty fair at 3 stars for what I ended up with. I would not recommend this product based on my personal experience but I do acknowledge that based on the reviews I might be in the minority and just got a product that slipped through there quality assurance department so best of luck if you want to try it out.

Love it. It works great
Love it. It works great. I purchased one from a different company that I had to return because the filter became clogged after just a few days. This one has worked very efficiently and I have been using it for about six weeks.

Doesn’t filter all of the time and weird crystals come out into your water
No idea how this things has good reviews. One month in the digital indicator on top died and unable to change battery’s. The real issue is that water doesn’t filter through this thing so many times I’ve checked for water and it’s still on the top forcing me to take apart the entire filter to shake the piece so water can flow through it. Secondly not sure wth happened but once wtt he bottom of my cup were sand crystals I almost gulped the entire thing bc you can’t see them in the water, they’re clear. I only saw them tilting my glass to drink. This is the worst investment I’ve ever made in my life it’s flimsy not that cute and it just simply doesn’t filter water and wtf are the crystals??? Cancer! They provide 2 filter w the initial purchase the first first just completed dropped filter after 3 weeks or so also I saw all the weird crystals in my cups so I threw it out (I left it soak initially for 3 days) the second filter I let sock and filter before used for a week and still same issues. Please avoid this product and if you purchased and haven’t given an honest review Shame on you. Most of these have to be fake reviews bc this product doesn’t work

Pleased with the Naples Natural water pitcher
The pitcher is well made. The filter is screwed into the pitcher top unit, rather than pushed into a silicone ring. The water filters slowly through the filter which gives the result I was looking for. I did an alkaline test, and it is perfect.

For taste, yeah, go with this. Higher ph a bonus
What a great filter! In terms of taste, 5/5. Speed of filter, 5/5 (read that it would be sloew but is very quite decent), design and space, 5/5 (taller, but holds tons. You can place unfiltered water twice to fill the lower basin)In terms of actually science (the added mg, etc) and higher Ph, I haven't tested since I don't own my tester

El repuesto es el doble de caro q la jarra con dos filtros
El agua súper bien. Me acabe los dos filtros y ahora salen que un filtro vale lo doble que la jarra con dos filtros (como en este paquete)No se en otro lado pero para Mexico es absurdo....
