If you're into crafts or furniture rehab, this is a great product! The cane is thick and can be used to replace chair bottoms. The weaving is even, the color is nice, and the product is thick. It's a decent value for the price; it will take multiple rolls to do chairs.

This is tightly woven rattan and good for furniture or projects you don't want to see through. Rattan is very tough, so you'll need a very sharp tool to cut through cleanly and it will make a little bit of a mess.Overall, this represents good value. I can't really find loose project rattan in any stores, so this is a good place to order from.I'm using it for tropical style furniture pieces. I'm going to try to stain it to a darker color using a sprayer, this is a little rough, so it might need a few extra coats.

I would not recommend ordering this size (2x3) unless you have an extremely small project. It is barely enough to do anything, especially considering the defects in the webbing that you need to work around. It is really hard to take images of the defects. I attempted to hold it up to the window, so you can see the light coming in through the gaps. This ends up looking better in pictures than in real life. I would say that if you are going to add the webbing to furniture, look for something higher quality. If you are crafting with it or using it on top of another material (i.e.: no light behind it) this will suffice.

We needed something fir a project and this fit the bill right out the box. We were able to cut down to size and work into a draw and made the project complete.The quality is amazing and the ease of working with it top notch. I was expecting worse quality, but it is actually pretty strong and nice. I haven’t used it for a chair or anything, but it would make a nice accent wall. Three feet really isn’t much to do any major work, but it can work as a starting sample or do some smaller work. I will likely use some on a little side table and the rest I intend to use as a material for my mixed media sculptures, so I can’t talk about actual strength yet. But, as I said— it’s pretty and seems like it will be strong.My one complaint is it smells very strong like glue. Maybe it’s the top coat. Either way, it needs to air out in the garage for a few days.

This appears to be a very durable rattan. It is tightly braided and seems to be very strong. I have a couple of chair bottoms that need to be replaced and I think this will work just fine.
