Great book.
Easy read only thing annoyed me was how many times it came up that Luca liked Halloween. I liked the dynamic of grandma and luca. Would read again.

My love for this book
Absolute perfection like everything I look for within this trope and in sports romance in general . I couldn’t stop reading or thinking about it. These two are literally soulmates and I love his grandma she is truly amazing

Easy read.
Nicely written romance where Lorelei needs somewhere to live after her landlord told her she was selling the building. Its the beginning of term and she ends up asking her twin brother. Dean reluctantly lets her stay were there are three other football athletes. Lo is off athletes anyway after a messy ending with Eric, she just wants to get on with her studies and play football for the womens team. Luca didnt want her living with them because she broke up his concentration to play ball, work hard and care for his grandmother. It didnt work though because she was lovely and they had serious chemistry. Luca started breaking all his own rules wanting more with her and now he just had to speak to her brother.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5‘If she learned the power her smile had on me, she could get me to do anything in the world.’God this book had all the best tropes and I loved every single second of it!Luca was absolutely the highlight of this book for me. His growth throughout the book was so beautiful to see. Lorelei was just a ray of sunshine and everyone deserves someone like her in their life. Can we all appreciated Luca’s nan because that women was fab!Tropes:•Football Player MMC x Soccer Player FMC•Grumpy x Sunshine•Brothers Best Friend/Teammate•Boy obsessed (like can someone call me a Goddess please)•Forced Proximity•FWB

Grumpy meets happy
A first read by this author for me I’ll definitely be back for more and will hunt down her other series too I think (I think there is a hockey series set in the same world perhaps?)I loved her characters and how she made them less than perfect at times, they made mistakes, embarrassed themselves and were honest with each other.I understand Luca, I am/was Luca and thrive on organisation and planning to the point it is an issue and I loved that Luca’s friends understood and protected that side of him too. The relationship between the housemates was so familial and protective.Lorelei was so fun yet driven. She knew what she loved, pushed herself to excel in all those areas even when she knew it was more fun (soccer) than her life goal.Throwing the two together felt like oil on water a little at the beginning but soon morphed into feelings then an arrangement then moreI loved the storyline, the characters (main and supporting) and the world the author builtA fun read for sure.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

5 ⭐ - mid spice, new author, perfect sports romance read
🏈 Slow burn/Brother's Best friend/GrumpyXSunshine/Forbidden romance/Forced proximity/Sports romance/FootballXSoccerSports romances are my favourite reads, so it's no surprise that I loved FMF. This book was definitely a slow burn, I loved the FMC from the start, she's whitty and passionate. The MMC a grump, sports focused with a big heart. (Luca has a dirty mouth but he won't go near Dean's sister, he's also low-key obsessed)Lorelei is a MC that would rather jump in with a clear head, she's not messing with athletes though.Their story is perfectly balanced with a solid epilogue that I really enjoyed, it doesn't rush into the future, it blooms with them steadily. There's spice, jealousy, off-limits, fake dating, friends with benefits and build up. The book would be a perfect first sports romance read for those getting into the trope.I also loved Callum and hope to see more of him and of course, Luca's grandma who was a beauty and show stealer! She was such a strong character in this book, funny and loving and kinda dark in a good way.I would've loved to read more about what Dean thought of their relationship and how it escalated but other than that I can't fault it, I finished it v quickly (it keeps you gripped)I was lucky enough to receive an e-ARC of this book and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

tough to keep reading
The first 60% of this book was very dull and repetitive. Almost all the quoted conversation wasn’t attributed to any character so you’d have to read it a few times to figure out who was saying what. Some of the phrases on the book were used over and over and I felt like screaming. The spice was well written but absolutely not worth having to read the rest of the book for.

Incredibly cute
I jumped to this book for a quick break from an epic 900 pages that was INTENSE. I am very glad I did. The story between Luca and Lorelei is absolute goals. The will they won't they is amusing with the witty banter throughout. The writing itself has a few typos but I loved the honest conversation and verbiage that was used. It didn't feel fake or forced. The conversations were real and sounded like something I would have with all the sarcasm and fudged words.Tropes: Forbidden Relationship, Best Friend Sister, HEA, Forced ProximityPOV: SWITCHING 1stSpice: 3/5 open-door

cute
Molto cute devo dire, la scritta sicuro va impreziosita e la trama è molto semplice, niente di nuovo però i personaggi sono molto carini, non ci sono i soliti villian cliche, mean girls o altro; quindi molto cute

Loved it
This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. This is the first book in the new 'Central State Football' series. I could not put this down, I was too invested immediately. This was a quick sports romance with a grumpy football player and a sunshiny soccer athlete. In the beginning of the book we meet Lorelei who is just getting out of a relationship with a douchebag of a baseball player that wants to focus on his baseball career while not being committed to her. No way! No more sports athletes for her! She wants to be put first in someone's life, not second like she is to her twin brother or any other guy for that matter. When Lo finds out her current on campus living arrangements are dropping out from under her and she needs to find a place to live quick smart. What better perk to your twin brother who is the quarterback of the college football team, Dean being on campus than the ability to call first dibs on the spare room that’s opened up in his football house. The only downfall is being stuck in the same house as Luca Monroe, her brothers teammate & best friend who has hated her since the first day they met in her freshmen year or does he?I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes Sports Romance (or Football Romance), Grumpy Sunshine, Brothers Best Friend, Enemies to Lovers, Forbidden Romance, Forced Proximity.

4.0
This book honestly was not well written. But I am giving it a four because I enjoyed. Love when we have an athletic main character. And their relationship was so cute. Luca so clearly cared so much about Lorelai, literally panicking in his POV whenever she even glanced away sadly. The trope of him making her ed jealous chefs kiss as well. Can’t wait to read about Mack and Dean. Great easy read, also what she did for his grandma making that whole marketing campaign is adorable, love the bond between her and his grandma and how that makes him love her even more

so so cute
I’m a major fan of when Grumpy Vs Sunshine hits just the right way and this book had it in spades.Luca is determined to give himself and his grandma a secure future and in order to do that he needs to focus on one thing, getting drafted by the NHL. That means he can’t take his eye off the prize for a second, not even to the girl that his eyes keep wandering too.Not only does he have a plan but that girl is his teammates twin sister so he can’t exactly say no when she is left without a place to live and has no where to go.Fighting the attraction gets a lot harder within those forced proximity and I was here for it.I adored Lorelei from the second I met her. She is outspoken, sassy and always up for a good banter. I also loved that we get to see her athletic side as well.Lucas grandmother was the comedic relief that I didn’t realize I needed. It was such a cute story and I can’t wait to continue the series.
