I bought a new young parakeet, and also a cage, but the cage was small. Then I ordered this one which when I put Tweedy in, he loved it. He hopped from one perch to another. Good quality also. I don't mind the black color bars, like I wondered about. I have it sitting a server in the breakfast room, where he can be at a good hight.

This is the exact same cage that we style and company we bought from years ago. My singing finch who is over 12 years old has been a happy camper in this cage. It’s easy to keep clean once you get the hang of it and the bars are spaced perfectly for these little birds. Any wider and they may squeeze out or worse get stuck and strangle.The longer design of the cage is important for these birds who fly back and forth rather than up and down as parakeets and cockatiels do. It’s so important for your birds safety and happiness to have the right cage.We’re delighted that the company still makes this durable cage and is available for our new finches. The media could not be loaded. This cage is it! I have 3 others sitting in my shed that were not! Size is large enough for my 3 parakeets! Sleek and convenient design makes it easy to get everything in and out with its big door! This cage is everything BUY IT!

Comes with three perches and the feeding and water dishes are great quality. The bars are not very thick at all borderlining flimsy but still do the trick by far for small birds but not for larger birds with strong beaks. The base and tray are decent quality plastic.

Good for my Parakeet

This is a horrible cage for parakeets and I’m not sure why it has good reviews. The size is good for a single bird bit the horizontal bar spacing on the back panelis like 6-8 inches which makes it almost impossible for a parakeet or small bird to climb up the back. My poor guy kept struggling and couldn’t do it and hates the cage. They should have horizontal bars on the bqck the same spacing as they have on the sides , about 1/4 inches which makes it easy for small birds to climb no matter which side they choose. I have no idea why such good reviews. My advice’s is do not buy this cage for a parakeet due to the above issue. Will probably have to throw it away and get another .

I received the cage very quickly. The Pervue cage was easy to assemble. The cage was to replace my old bird cage. It is very sturdy. It is easy to clean. Pervue cages are pretty good quality so I am very happy with my purchase.

Very pleased with this product. Easy to assemble. Takes a little bit of work to maneuver the wire cage, but eventually it came together.
