This is a terrific tool for making gorgeous soft light. I find it amusing that there is a note on the page that this is often returned due to its size. It's big and it's soft; precisely what is needed. As a key with a powerful fixture such as the CB300D, you can easily place at a distance for a two shot that will have no fall-off. With two used as a key and key-side fill, you can do gorgeous lighting on subjects. I use one with a CB300D as a side key, and a second one with a CB200D as the key-side fill. Suprisingly solid build. Seems like it will be durable. Everything fits precisely. Great product for the price or any price. I do recommend a stand with some beef for the combo.

If you have ever struggled with setting up a parabolic softbox for 20 minutes and wish you could get your life back, this is the softbox for you! I am immediately in love with this Neewer Bowens mount compatible modifier. It is SO EASY to set up and break down the rods (no more WWE match with those rods!) and the diffusers and honeycomb attach seamlessly to the velcro. They aren't overly heavy, and I had no trouble attaching them to the Bowens mount. The quality is beautiful, and this may be my favorite Neewer purchase (and overall photography purchase,) to date. This is the fastest softbox I've ever set up and is worth every penny. I've purchased 2 of these now, but am going to come back for other sizes because the design is hard to beat. Highly recommend!

For the money, I didn't expect such good build quality and materials. I know the size is on the listing, but I was pleasantly surprised at how large this is. This is now my new primary diffuser for both photography and videography. The 2 included white diffusers are great, and easy to attach to the frame/housing. The grid is also easy to attach, but I find myself seldom using it. The options of diffusers/grid offer great versatility and functionality. This is great for primary lighting and even overhead lighting in certain situations. Would buy again!

Very sturdy, produces amazing light and the size its just great!

The NEEWER 26-inch Parabolic Softbox has exceeded my expectations. The build quality is excellent — sturdy materials, firm rods, and a quick-setup system that really saves time during photo or video sessions. The parabolic shape delivers beautifully soft and even lighting, perfect for portraits, interviews, and product shoots. The inner and outer diffusers create a smooth, natural light, while the included honeycomb grid gives me precise control whenever I need to focus the light more directly. Compatibility is another strong point. It works perfectly with my Aputure 120d, as well as other lights like the Godox SL60W and NEEWER RGB CB60, making it a versatile tool for any studio setup. The size is ideal — large enough to provide soft, flattering light, but still compact enough not to overwhelm the space. It also breaks down quickly, and the carrying bag makes it very convenient for on-location work. Overall, this softbox provides professional-level results at a very competitive price. The support rod design isn't the greatest... For the larger soft boxes, like this one, you can really struggle to get the box expanded and locked in place. Maybe over time and regular use it will get easier, but my first effort to open the 47inch was anything but quick and easy as the support rods can be tricky. You can't lean into open the box and push the rods to the floor, so you have to open it the opposite way by pulling the rods upward to lock them in place. The first few are easy, but the last few I struggled. So this is obviously going to be a box that stays in the home studio instead of traveling with me to location shoots. It's not horrible by any means, in fact it is durable af, but I think the inner bracket like you find with Paul C. Buff soft boxes is a better design (for larger boxes anyway) than the support rod outer brackets. My opinion of course.

Great size and easy to use. This might not be the soft box to use on a regular basis if you’re on a running gun schedule and mobile all the time but it’s good for you outside and indoors as well

I bought this to replace an old Photoflex softbox. It has worked well on my first uses. From reading reviews, I thought I would need a two-foot pipe wrench to click the rods in place. Not so, it took perhaps five pounds of force to set a rod. This is much, much easier to set up than old-school softboxes with four rods. I prefer this type over the umbrella folding type since it leaves the middle of the box unobstructed, though it might take a few seconds longer to set up. The inner and outer diffusers are easily attached by velcro, and the inner diffuser has an extra layer of fabric in the center, presumably to even-out the light. Egg-crate is also attached by velcro and fits well. The case is surprisingly OK, given most of these products skimp on them. Using this with a 500W Nanlite at 50% power, with both diffusers and the egg-crate installed, I get 100 foot-candles at 1 meter on axis. (Of course, you will get more light if you take off the egg-crate and inner diffuser - which might be fine for a general key light) Remember the rule of thumb that you should be as far from the subject as the size of the softbox if you want soft light.

As a professional food and product photographer, I was looking to add a midsized parabolic softbox to my artificial lighting kit. After researching and narrowing down on a few options, I zeroed in on Neewer’s latest generation 33-inch Parabolic Softbox. I’ve been using Neewer products for years now and I’ve grown to like their quality, ease of use as well as affordability. I will be honest that this product is not cheap and priced competitively with other softboxes out there. But like they say you get what you pay for and it holds true for this softbox. After using the product for a bunch of shoots here are three takeaways. Quick setup and folding mechanism: I am a food photographer and conduct the majority of my photoshoots on location. Lugging around heavy equipment is the bane of every photographer’s existence. The quick set-up and folding features are a blessing saving you a ton of time and energy. Soft and directional light: This new generation light diffuser is deep, yet wide with a silver diffusion coating. It offers two layers of diffusion material and a honeycomb grid for further shaping and directing the light as needed. The softbox produces a great colour rendering index maintaining the true colours that my clients prefer. High quality but lightweight: I must admit that this softbox is huge at 33 inches yet compact enough to sit in the backseat of my Small-SUV. I love how lightweight is so it doesn’t weigh down my expensive strobe light or add pressure to my light stands. Although the ribs are not made of metal these seem quite solid and flexible too. If you’re looking to invest in a great parabolic softbox that produces beautiful artificial light that almost seems natural, this might be the product you’re looking for. It is practical, lightweight, sturdy and super easy to set up. It is a tad pricy but a bang for the dollar.
