Solid Outboard Stand!!!
This is a very solid high quality outboard motor stand for the price. I was almost scared off by some of the reviews. After reading many of the reviews and assembling one myself, it’s my opinion that most of these complaints, if not all, were the result of mistakes made during assembly.A few things to note:The instructions do not use any words, only pictures which is pretty standard lately. If you take your time and look at all of the visual clues, it is extremely simple to assemble. Some reviewers claimed they needed to go to a hardware store because of bolts being too short, or drill holes in the steel tubes because they didn’t line up. This was not the case in my experience. The holes drilled in the wooden support are counter sunk and can only be installed in one direction.A few reviewers claimed that the unit fell forward with the weight of their motor. The cart has two large caster wheels in the front. This would only be possible if they reversed the wheels and the front support bar, which would make the cart highly unstable. Also, save yourself a lot of headaches by assembling the cart only hand tight until all components are in place. If you do that, everything will line up and you won’t have to drill any holes like several other reviews claimed. The bottom line is this is a great cart for my 6 HP outboard and could easily handle a substantially larger engine. If you are capable of assembling basic items, this is the product for you.Don’t be scared off by people that have no clue what they are doing and take the time to leave negative reviews that are clearly user error to anyone that owns this item. One thing to note they do not include the hex key you’ll need to tighten down the wooden support bolt. You’ll want to have a hex key set handy to complete.

instructions are terrible. seems to do what it's supposed to though.
assembly instructions are ambiguous. I needed a 13mm socket, a 6mm allen wrench and a pair of pliers. where do the washers go? on the nyloc side or the allen bolt side? the handles are /not/ identical and need to splay out. the crossbars look very similar and there are no distinguishing marks. they'll only go together one way but which this is is completely unclear. needless to say, murphy's law took priority and I had to disassemble and reassemble nearly everything. the instructions are printed very dark and I had to look at the ad here to figure out which way some things went together. there's a pair of cotter pins in the package but they do not appear in the instructions anywhere. they're obviously part of the main axle but what they're used for is a mystery. No way will it hold 300 lbs unless you don't stress it at all. It's fine with my 78lb long shaft though. I intend to use it to hold the motor when I'm running it in a bucket of fresh water to clean out the salt...not sure how it'll stand up to that.

Holding it but....
This is holding our 2023 25hp mercury motor but wouldn't want to do much with the motor being on this stand like change plug or something....it's wobbly. We put the motor on it and rolled it over to the corner for the winter and it is holding it so that's what matters!

Quick assembly
Very happy, great price ,and very easy to put together. 1/2 hr to fully assembled. I was skeptical at first about the maximum weight allowed but the tubular parts are made of heavy duty steel so it can definitely support my 40 hp engine which weighs at 247 lbs. quite heavy but had no problem switching it from my boat transom to the stand with my engine hoist chain lift. The only down is the piece of wood which supports the engine seems to be light density wood which I would not trust holding that weight for long, so I put a support under the engine while I am out of town just in case. Other than that any smaller engine will be no problem at all.

Better than my other 2 motor stands
It wheels easily, easy to put together, solid, support 2 small HP (2.5+3.5) motors, as good as or better than the others (1 is a West Marine).

Seams cheap and instructions are not helpful
Don’t waste your money CHEAP PRODUCT. Not sure if it’s even going to hold my Honda 9.9 or for how long. I’m waiting to hear the crash when I’m in the house. AND the instruction are HORRIBLE!! The instructions are so bad !!!

Suitable for a Lighter Outboard, But NO WAY should you rely on it holding 300 lbs.
Stand goes together fine and is what you would expect for $75. However, I was suspicious about a 300 lb capacity and was correct. The minute we started to lower our 187 lb Evinrude 30 HP Etec onto it, I could see things could go bad quickly. There was no lateral stability and I expected the front legs to buckle. I invested another $50 in bracing and bolts from HomeDepot and feel much safer now. I installed flat cross bracing, two additional angle iron leg supports, and reinforced the wooden back with 1/2" plywood. I think it will be fine now. If you are not handy and intend to hang anything larger than a 20 HP outboard - buy a stronger (read as "more expensive") stand.
