Q: Has anyone tried this on a female (60 lbs) Weimaraner ?

I have used it on a 77 lb. Greyhound as a precautionary measure to protect his thin skin around his face in case of a doggie play or squabble accident. To use any dog muzzle, I recommend putting it on them slowly, so not to startle them, although they will buck at something foreign going on their head/face, as would I. Do this once or twice a day, building up time on their muzzle, but never longer than 15 minutes. Get them used to it before it is needed.

Our female hound is right around 55pounds and the small size fits her. The sizing information is misleading as it shows medium as an available option but the manufacturer website only shows small and large sizes. Hope that helps!

Q: Will the large fit my 135 pound GSD? No, he’s not fat at all. He’s just very very big, even for a purebred GSD.

Q: is there a guard to attach to this muzzle, my dog manages to eat stuff in the yard thru the holes (greyhound)?

I've never seen any cover/cap for these muzzles. They were designed so the dog can drink (and eat with difficulty) while wearing them. I hesitate to suggest putting tape on the bottom of the guard only because I wouldn't want the dog to chew on the tape and chemicals on the tape but I have done this for my dog when he was injured to stop him from licking the stitches. In my case he never chewed on the tape so I felt it was safe.
