This cookbook is poorly organized and the recipes require a lot of unnecessary prep. This book is organized by week - with a meal plan and recipes provided for each week. It sounds good but executing this is difficult. It also doesn't include an ingredient index. For example, if you have chicken and are looking for a recipe, the index is sorted by week and you have to read through every week to find chicken recipes. The plan will call for a soup that you only eat from once. You buy the ingredients, make a medium size pot of soup and then it isn't mentioned in the diet plan for the rest of the week. I'm an avid cook and I found the concept good, the grocery list and weekly plan great ideas but much too complicated to maintain. The diet would work better for an average person if there were fewer "fancy dishes" on the plan to be made each week. I bought this in conjunction withDr. Colbert's Keto Zone Diet. I found them confusing, one says eliminate beans, bananas, sweet potatoes, etc from your diet and this cookbook is loaded with meals including these ingredients. I also found Dr. Colbert's Keto Zone Diet to be read like a sales pitch and it made me feel oddly gullible even though I agree with and find the Keto diet compelling.

Highly Recommended for Health and Wellness
The information on the author's (a medical doctor) search for his own health and how he came into natural healing. The book contains many different aspects of the modified Mediterranean Diet for various health issues. I used it myself for a medical issue, and it helped. Also buying the recipe book to accompany this book was beneficial.

Not what I needed for low carb eating.
I didn't care for this book. I'm sure the recipes are good but the # of carbs is not included with each recipe.
