Review Update: The seller took the initiative to reach out after our complaint and sent us an ungraded version of the dispenser (more powerful pump) without any charge. We are still in the process of trying out the updated dispenser. The customer service still contacts us from time to time for feedback on the new use. I feel they hear and respect us as customer. A thumbs up for their customer service.Original review: The soap dispenser initially worked well, but the quality quickly degraded. It was quite frustrating when we finally went back to our old hand-push dispenser.In about a month, it took more and more tries for soap to be dispensed, first was 2-3 tries, then 5-6 ties, and now it's completely stuck. The detection was fine, but no soap was coming out. We checked that we had plenty of soap in the dispenser, and the battery. Everything is fine but it just stops working properly.I wish I had paid more attention to the negative reviews about this product. So I urge you to consider bad reviews because they are telling the truth!!

A great device for the price, and keeps you from using as much soap. there are four settings for soap volume, although it seems that the second setting is too little and the third is too much. I also found that if you accidentally wipe the soap across the sensor just under the outlet, it will keep running until the soap is gone or the batteries wear out. This happened after I left the room without any indication there was a problem. There should be a limit on how many times it can dispense in a row, and then stopping and giving an error indication. Best that it is positioned so if this happens all of the soap is in the sink, and not where it can damage anything.

Mine never worked beyond dispensing a large amount of soap one time. I chose not to try another one and just returned it. If it works, it is a nice size and very attractive. The batteries are easily installed as well. I liked it a lot (and better than the one I replaced it with) but it jyst didn't work. Its definitely worth the money to try one I think, if you like how it looks.Edit: the vendor contacted me and stated that they had modified this dispenser. They offered to send me a new one free of charge (I had already returned and received a credit for the original one.) This new one works well and will dispense soap directly into pots unlike the different model I had gotten in the meantime. So overall I am very pleased with the vendor, frustrated that the first dispenser didn't work, but happy with the replacement so far.

Item arrived today. "-" button doesn't work at all. Can't shut unit off. Can't decrease volume at all. Seems very cheaply made. Returning for refund. UPDATE: company saw my original 1 star review and sent me another dispenser to try. This unit was fully functional. I originally ordered this product for it’s ability to adjust volume of soap dispensed since a similar product I already have only has 2 settings both of which dispense too much soap. This unit has 4 settings but the highest 2 settings dispense much too much soap for one person to use. The 2nd setting dispenses as much soap as the one I already own so the lowest setting is the only useful setting for me. The lowest setting dispenses just the right amount of soap but I found that on this setting soap builds up on the spout & causes the soap to squirt out to the side instead of down into your hand. However, if I keep an eye out for buildup & wipe the spout occasionally, this unit works well. In conclusion, this isn’t perfect but meets my needs.

*****UPDATE****** (Original post seen below)Customer service contacted me regarding my one-star review and explained that they created a newer version of this dispenser that has a new sensor and motor. They shipped it to me promptly for free. I have been using it for several weeks now with no issues that I listed in my previous review. It is working fine and the battery has not died (and I haven't had to turn it off each time.). Working good so far!______________________Original review:This thing drove me crazy. Works well when you just get started but not for everyday use. If you forget to hold the buttons down to turn it off and on each time the batteries die in 2-3 days. So frustrating each time it happens. Plus the battery compartment does not have a liquid proof seal and thus when you are using it water drips into the battery compartment this frying the batteries and rusting the whole thing. I WISH I could return this. Better have rechargeable batteries on hand.

This is one good Thing to have. I have it at the kitchen sink for the dish washing liquid, it works flawlessly and does not deplete the batteries quickly. In fact it has been a few weeks and they are still good. I bought the Simple Human one some years ago and it was in the trash within the week. The Lantoo is well made and I can see that it will last for quite some time. Bought one for my sister and she loves it.

This is the second purchase I have made for one of these soap dispensers. The other one I purchased several years ago looks identical, but was from another seller. This particular model has several different features, one being the amount of soap it dispenses. With the previous model I had to put my hand under it several times to get the amount of soap I needed. With this one, set at the higher dispense level, it is perfect every time. I am very pleased with my choice when buying this item.

Detects hand but doesn't pump. Took it apart and it's poorly made. Water gets inside. All screws are rusted. The proximity sensor is fake. Nothing but a red LED behind the red plastic. There is a simple light barrier from the bottom to the top. It also never worked well when it did. The first run has very little soap because the soap makes its way back into the reservoir through the pump.

It’s been less than one year since I bought this dispenser and it constantly stops working. I have replaced the batteries multiple times but it constantly stops working. Currently it doesn’t work at all!

Product is hit and miss. Looks good on counter but only works well when batteries are fresh.
