Hatch Restore 3 Review
The Hatch Restore 3 is an excellent alarm clock for anyone looking to improve their sleep and wake-up routine. The sunrise alarm is a standout feature—it gradually fills the room with warm light, making waking up feel much more natural and less abrupt than a traditional alarm. The sound library is also impressive, with a wide variety of white noise, nature sounds, and relaxing audio to help you wind down at night. The ability to customize routines through the app makes it easy to create a calming bedtime environment and a gentle wake-up experience. It also has a sleek, minimal design that looks great on a nightstand, and the soft ambient lighting doubles as a relaxing bedside lamp. Overall, the Hatch Restore 3 is thoughtfully designed and a great addition to any nighttime routine. Highly recommend for anyone looking to create a more relaxing way to fall asleep and wake up.

Great Clock, Amazing Features
I’ve been using the Hatch Restore 3 for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for my sleep and overall daily routine. First, the design is beautiful and minimal, so it looks great on a nightstand without feeling like another piece of tech clutter. Setup was incredibly easy through the app, and within minutes I had my nighttime and morning routines customized exactly how I wanted them. The sleep routines are where this device really shines. The gentle sunset light combined with calming sounds helps my brain actually wind down instead of scrolling endlessly on my phone. The sounds are high quality and soothing, not tinny or repetitive and the gradual dimming makes falling asleep feel natural rather than forced. The alarm experience is a total game-changer. Waking up to a soft sunrise light and gradual sound is so much better than a harsh phone alarm. I feel more awake, less groggy, and way less stressed in the morning. It’s especially great for darker winter mornings or anyone who struggles to wake up. I also love the customization: brightness, sound levels, timing, and routines to fit your exact sleep schedule. Whether you want white noise all night, a guided wind-down, or just a simple light alarm, it handles it effortlessly. Overall, the Hatch Restore 3 has genuinely improved my sleep quality and morning mood. It feels like a small luxury that makes a big difference every single day. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend it—this is one product that actually lives up to the hype.

Changed the game for my sleep routine.
I feel like a spring chicken. I'm not a morning person at all and my phone alarm would always make me anxious. I hated starting the day feeling anxious. I love that this alarm clock lulls me awake gently but just enough. The mimicry of a sunrise is a really nice touch. I would get this as a gift. Something you aren't sure you need until you realize you really needed it after all. Functionality: Works great. Easy set up. Super simple and intuitive which I like. Design: Nice and sleek. One of my fave things about this is the look. I love how it mimics sunlight. The perfect size for my relatively small nightstand. The color is as described and shown in the pictures. Bonus: Like the design on the buttons. Again they're nice, sleek, and very intuitive. Features: It's been very custom to me, my habits, and preferences so far. It's a nice way to condition myself to sleep and wake up on time.

Quality customizable sunrise alarm clock
I've been wanting a sunrise alarm clock for a while, and finally ordered the Hatch. I love it! I notice a huge difference when I'm able to wake up in the daylight instead of the darkness and I've already noticed myself wake up with more energy using Hatch vs a normal alarm clock. I love that you can set the colors of the sunrise for a smooth transition to brighter light, which I could not achieve with my former jury-rigged lamp/smart plug set up. The Hatch is a huge upgrade. The device is well-designed: a high-quality aesthetic with intuitive controls. While I bought the product primarily for the sunrise feature, it doubles as a nighttime reading light and noise machine, both features that were pleasant bonuses. The app is easy to figure out, and it personalizes a suggested nighttime routine based on what you tell it. I would recommend the Hatch to anyone looking for a gentler wakeup or help falling asleep!

I love it!
First and foremost, I got the cocoa color and I am obsessed with it; I think it is so chic. I didn’t realize that I desperately needed the hatch alarm clock until I got one. It has drastically changed both my bedtime and wake up routines. I set up the 30 min reading soundscapes which has definitely supported my reading goals and has gotten me off my phone before bed (my worst habit). The reading light is perfectly bright and I can read with it with all of my other lights off. I fall asleep to the pouring rain and brown noise which is so calming. The gradual sunrise light in the morning is a game changer! I’m no longer jolting awake every morning before work and it really makes waking up feel like less of a punishment. I truly didn’t realize how jarring and aggressive my phone alarm was until I switched. I love the sound options (currently I’m rotating between rise and grind and rainstick) and the fact that you can customize the light options. The snooze option is also really nice for when I just want a few more minutes in bed before I actually get up. The app setup is really foolproof and I love that I can control everything from my phone. It’s definitely on the pricier side for an alarm clock, but seeing how it has greatly improved my sleep and made me a bit more of a morning person, I’d say it’s worth it!

Extremely scientifically effective sleep inducement and conclusion machine
I was skeptical but as a working professional in finance this was well worth the investment. Several observations: * As I suspected it wasn't super effective in getting me to sleep earlier as I'm a habitual night owl and my own lifestyle isn't changed by a little blue light and calming sounds from the device. * However, the wind-down at night is so soothing, pleasant and spa-like I actually look forward to going to bed (ironically, I wind down by being on my phone for 30 minutes before bed still while the Hatch plays) and thus end up sleeping sooner most days anyway * The BIGGEST ROI from this device come from the sleeping and waking phases: - the white noise is noticeably more effective for putting me to sleep FAST than either the a) manual white noise machine I previously had with a mechanical fan; and b) the air purifier I used as a white noise machine. I used to rely on melatonin pills and blackout curtains to put myself to sleep fast when I needed to work late and wake early. I now have normal blinds, no blackout curtains, and have 0% need for anything besides my hatch. I'm convinced hatch specifically engineers their white noise for basically sedating you. I'm genuinely impressed. - waking up is legitimately and genuinely gentle and soothing to the point where again, I am convinced hatch must do dedicated research to specifically engineer their sounds to wake you from sleep, even deep sleep, with a gentleness that no other generic alarm clock on the market can match. I considered the Loftie because for me the sounds are the differentiator in preparing, inducing and waking from sleep; however the ambient light of the Hatch, while not the main mechanism, complements the sounds highly effectively for a more "enveloping" sensory experience that again, I am convinced scientifically is more effective for inducing, quickening, and gently ending sleep. And you don't need to be a scientist to realize that. Do I think this level of refinement in sleep experience is necessary for the average person? No, a normal alarm clock should be fine for most people. But if you're someone where the 5% difference in sleep efficiency and quality actually matters (wish I wasn't), this device brings you past that 5% threshold into sleep optimization.

Nice
I debated how to rate this. So, for aesthetics and functionality as a sunrise alarm clock 15/10!!!!! It's really a beautiful, soothing, modern looking device that fits perfectly in my space. Occasionally I use a sunset wind down routine while I'm reading. I don't use sounds at night and prefer quiet. So I've never used any of the sleepy time podcasts and all that. Now for the app- it's just overpriced and overdone, not well designed and keeps a lot of really basic functions behind a paywall. I'm not about to pay 12 dollars a month to have a different species of bird than the one that currently does wake me up at 6 am. It would be nice to have the option though. If you are the kind of person that appreciates curated white noise machines at night, wind down podcasts and so on this could be a great device. For the price I paid for this alarm clock though I think at least basic alarm options should be available without a monthly subscription. Also making the device simply cross compatible with other apps to access my own music and podcasts would be nice. The reading light is SO bright which is nice. But it's too bright so I never use it. I wish there were an option to customize that. All that being said the basic functionality and beauty the clock and the ease and personalization I can access for my alarm itself is all really high quality.

Simple, calming, and effective
I didn’t expect to care this much about an alarm clock, but the Hatch Restore 3 has honestly been a great purchase. The biggest thing for me is how much it’s helped me stick to a consistent sleep routine. The wind-down feature makes it really easy to unplug at night instead of just scrolling on my phone forever. It’s become part of my nightly habit, and I’ve definitely noticed I’m falling asleep faster. Mornings are where it really stands out though. The gradual light is so much nicer than a loud alarm going off. I have early morning meetings pretty often, and this has made waking up feel way less stressful. It’s a much calmer, more natural way to start the day. Also, it just looks really nice on my nightstand. The design is super clean and minimal, so it doesn’t feel like an eyesore like most alarm clocks. Overall, I’m really happy with it. If you’re trying to get into a better sleep routine or just want a gentler way to wake up, I’d definitely recommend it.
