This life vest seemed very sturdy and I loved that it had two handles! But unfortunately despite following the sellers sizing chart the life vest was a bit too small for our dog. But in the sellers defense our dogs measurements were a bit all over the place making it difficult to decide between sizes for safety reasons. If you are on the high end of a size 100% size up!!! The soft Velcro rest on the dog whereas the stiff scratchy part goes out which catches a lot of stuff but it's a small place to pay to keep your dog's skin safe.

It has suited us well. We've had it for the whole summer, and Spike has worn it for every swimming event. It still fits him nicely and feels secure. It is nice to be able to pick him up by the handle. It's a useful feature while in the pool. The lime green is quite visible! Spike is 7lbs and he wears XXS.

I used a size small on a mini dachshund about 20 pounds. It was easy to put on and adjust, and the fit was good. The dog jumped out of the kayak many times and he was able to swim with it on. It was very easy to grab the handle on top while he was in the water and set him back up into the kayak. Once or twice he flipped over after jumping in the water and was unable to get back upright, whether due to his inability to swim or this life jacket I'm not sure. This is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.

My black lab developed hip weakness and couldn't safely swim out to retrieve tennis balls anymore. When I hook up the vest, she starts barking because she knows she's going swimming again.

MY 100 lb. dogs see the vest and run for the truck. They know we are going swimming. It fits well and allows dogs to move in comfort. Most importantly, no dog drowns or claws at me for survival in the water. They are paddle board friends in vests and love it.

I have a boxer and bought the XL. It fits her nicely and the top handle is convenient to lift her out of the water. It also has a loop I can hook her leash to on the top.

I ordered the small for my Chihuahua mix who weighs 15 lbs. I did use a soft tape measure to get accurate measurements of his girth. Follow the size chart. Fit was great & very secure with Velcro and clip closures.

We got the XXL for our Great Dane. She is a big girl and it fit perfect. She had a great day on the paddle board.

It floats, has reflective striping, has a handle, isn't bulky and fits securely. One of the few dog life jackets available in XXS. Purchased for our 4 1/2 lb Jack Russell puppy. We know we'll only get one summer with this tiny size, but if she accidently falls out of the boat at least there is a grab handle to help return her to safety. Fits securely and the buckles are a good size. Some other life jackets have buckles so small they're fiddly and difficult to squeeze open.
