The Moab Waterproof from Merrell is a classic among multifunctional shoes. Equipped with a non-slip Vibram sole for a firm stand and a waterproof membrane for dry feet. The lining treated with Aegis antimicrobial and the Merrell Air Cushion heel cushioning ensure the necessary comfort and a perfect foot climate. The width in the ball area and the round toe cap give the Moab a very comfortable fit. Shoe runs small, please order one size larger.

Good shoes, just what I wanted.
I have one foot that's a 12 and one that's a 12 and a half and these fit well. When you first put them on they feel a little tight, but they relaxed very quickly and are a really good and comfortable fit. Given they fit my bigger foot, I suspect they run a little large for size but if you're going to be wearing thick socks with them then this isn't going to cause a problem. The grips are good and the soles are rigid enough to be good when things get a little rough but flexible enough to be comfortable in any terrain.Waterproofing works well, but it's Gore-tex so this comes as no surprise. I've been wearing them for about a week and I've not had any problems or blisters.

It's the build quality
Several years ago my son, who is in the trade, told me that if I wanted a pair of quality walking trainers I should get a pair of Merrells. I took his advice and this is now my 7th or 8th pair, of which 5 are still in use (sandals, blaze sieve, hiking boots, hiking shwes x2). These are of the usual quality and comfort levels I have come to expect and although Merrells are not cheap IMHO they offer the consistent longevity due to their exceptional design and build.

Good shoes
Good shoes but be careful with sizing, not as comfortable and roomy as non-gore tex previous Moabs I owned. I would say they feel approx. 1/2 size smaller not as much on length but in toe room.

Fantastically comfortable shoes. Good wide toe-box for those with wider feet.Got a long haul hike in the near future and will add further reviews when done.Update: Right, I have owned these now for over a year and can give a proper opinion.First, they are still the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn. The arch support helps with those long haul hikes. I easily walk 25 miles in a day without any discomfort.Second: They still look good. There is minimal wear & tear. The brown colour I chose helps with this a little I think.Third: I am not a fan of the laces. While they are tough and super super durable, I'd rather have a set that is easier to tie, and keep tied.Overall I am more than satisfied with these shoes, and will definitely get myself another pair when these fall apart (likely not any time soon).Update2: 4.75 years later and still going strong, despite continous hiking AND becoming my everyday shoes. No holes, no rips, etc,... nothing!

Comfort
Love merrell footwear and these didn't disappoint. Very comfortable, and accommodated my size 8 feet well even with a thicker sock. Did lots of walking on a city break and shoe protected my feet all day. Lots of foot support. Would recommend

Sturdy as boots, comfy as trainers.
Worn 3 times so far. They seem to cope well with bog, bracken and scree, and anything else one might encounter having temporarily missplaced the path :)Really light-weight and comfortable.
