Awesome budget dap
I've made a lot research before deciding on purchasing this particular player. It shares the same form factor with Ruizu A50 so I'm not sure who is the manufacturer.1. Regarding the build, it's solid, made from a block of aluminum alloy, with very nice and precise machining. The screen is glass with rounded edges, the buttons are clicky and the volume/menu wheel is precise. The battery was empty so I had to charge it in order to use it the first time, it charges completely in 1 hour, as advertised.2. The menu is easy to control with the wheel, it didn't took me a lot to get used to it. There is no lag, everything is smooth, especially scrolling through the song list. The wheel acts as a selection button as well. When playing a song, a short press pauses it, a long press brings you to the submenu. You can make a Playlist while operating the player. What you have to do is to long press to open the submenu, add the song to one of the three available playlists. After adding all the songs, you need to go to settings, select Create Playlist and it will save it.3. The sound is great. I cannot comment on every subtlety but it works great with rock, classical, electronic, etc. To my ears, the sound is similar to what FiiO Btr1k produces in DAC mode. I tried Flac, m4a, dsd (64 to 256), it played them all with no issues.ConclusionI couldn't find much about the components inside beside the processor which might be an Actions. But whatever obscure dac is using, it does a great job as there isn't anything lacking in the sound department. If you are looking for a small, well built dap that produces great sound, you might not find a better deal than Agptek H50.

Good little hi-fi mp3 player
Quite happy with this unit. I have a number of mp3 players and the key for me is the capability of the user interface which is well thought through.I found the controls intuitive with a minimum number of button presses to achieve an action. The text on the display is large enough for my now slightly declining eyesight. Tapping the power button turns the screen off but allows the mechanical buttons/wheel to continue to control the playback. Physical buttons/wheel make playback/volume adjustment whilst the unit stays in my pocket quite practical. The volume adjustment has a huge range not just a few steps. I've tried a range of lossless files and not had a problem. Holding the power button briefly turns the unit off which is an improvement on another unit where the two presses were needed, the first to make sure the unit had woken up. Not aware that my hearing is declining so happy with the sound paired with some bose earphones, the cars B&W sound system.and a JBL portable speaker. Bluetooth is not an essential for me but would have been nice to have. Purchased a different unit last autumn whose interface was far less sorted but was more expensive than this so quite happy with the price.

Sounds good... but...
I sent mine back... for a number of reasonsThe main one being that after a less than two weeks the jog-dial on the side became intermittent in one direction... so I could turn the volume up, but not down without a lot of hassle!Less terminal, but really niggly: It doesn't recognise the tags on .DSF files, so none of my SACD rips had the right data, so I always would have to use play by folder order and not get title or artwork. The play order was very odd too... if I copied music from my Mac the play order was utterly random despite the file-name. If I copied the same folders from a PC the play order was alphabetic based on the file-name.Finally for the M4A files I had it would often mangle the cover image showing only half of it with the other half being that of the previous track! The sound for the price was excellent, and I'd have put up with the niggles if the dial hadn't broken.Rather than try another one I've now got a ROCKER which is a bit bigger, so less "cool" looking, only a bit more expensive but does recognise the tags on my DSF files, shows the artwork on them and other filetypes properly, and as a bonus plays gapless!

Great little Hi-Res player for low price
This sounds almost as good as my FIIO M3K. My Hi-Res music plays back well on this player and MP3's sound better. The player is well made and has a premium feel to it. The screen is alright for the price as well and is protected with a decent piece of glass. Some of features are accessed by pressing the knurled wheel like a button. Volume is controlled by spinning the wheel. All in all it is very good indeed.

Great find
For the price this is an excellent buy. If you have a decent pair of headphones this will really impress you. The size is great, and navigation really good. It probably doesn't compare with audio players that cost £200+ but it's still super sound..
