Excellent for the price
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very solid feel to this. As others have said the weld angle is weird. It’s not by design, either— with mine fully set up and the bar completely level. The left perpendicular support is almost perfectly vertical. Where is the right one is off by as much as 3/4 inch. This is fine to deal with but my advice: 1) if using over drywall, to help spread load on drywall first place some 1/2” or 3/4” ply strips against wall, as instructions mention. 2) ignore the drill hole sticker. Given the lack of 90 degree weld it’s useless anyway 3) use a stud finder to confirm center stu 4) hold in place and mark hole locations 5) the TOP screw on each side is the one that is responsible for preventing pull out from wall more than any other. It’s gotta be strong. If you’ve plywood in place over drywall the included 3 inch lags now have only 1.5-1.75” left. Forget them: go to Home Depot and get a 5” LedgerLOK brand screw. (3.5” stud + 1/2” drywall + 3/4” ply + the 3/16 thick metal means a 5” won’t blow throw your wall). LedgerLOK are intended to hold ledger boards against a house to support a deck. Very strong. If concerned the screw is too long get a shorter one or a 4.5” HeadLOK. All of these are structurally rated AND longer than the lag bolts of unknown origin that come with this kit. 6) pre drill with 5/32 bit (smaller than the shank of headlock but still will assist in preventing slipping) 7) use headlock at least for the very top bolt on each side. The middle and lower holes are less important and the bottom is only shear anyway, which you’re never gonna have fail 8) once it’s set up hang your entire body weight on each corner one at a time. It won’t move, and now you’ve also proven that if each side can take your entire body weight, hanging from middle means your actual sets are only 50% of what you tested Anyway, I’m also using the pulleys and the pulleys are actually pretty darn good with a nice bearings. Last thing: if your perpendicular parts are off 90° like many people are, you can use that pre drilled bit to slightly angle the hole back toward the stud so it bites center. As for a stud finder get a Franklin one from here or blue box store—the one that has all the lights on it. They are cheap and good.

Great Bar
Installation was a bit tricky, but after some time and effort it’s rock solid and sturdy. Parts are good quality and the pulley system works well.

A MUST Have for your home gym!
This thing is awesome! I had a pullup bar tower before, but it was a little too low for me, and it was strictly a pullup bar at the top. This is wall-mounted, so you can put it where you need it, and it comes with some extra attachments which help with other exercises. My favorite part is that different hand positions you can have. It's super sturdy, well made, and very versatile. Just make sure you get lag bolts in the studs (it should go without saying, but PLEASE DO NOT HANG THIS FROM SHEETROCK). All in all, this is a must have for your home gym!

Solid product, box was damaged.
Read a bunch of the other reviews, liked the premise of the pulley system. The unit itself is solid. As others have said, it's not square. I'm wondering if that's on purpose for load bearing reasons. You will absolutely need wooden planks to mount this properly on non-brick or concrete walls. You'll need additional hardware to mount it as well. (Lag bolts) The box was damaged and the finish on the unit was tarnished because of it. But for the price point, what it comes with and the over all functionality I can over look that part. Thats the only reason why it's getting 4 stars rather than 5.

Very nice set up for the price
This pull up bar set is pretty solid. It's a nice wide set up. The welds look good. It doesn't line up with the studs, so you have to make a mount for it. I used some 3/4" plywood with a solid wood header to help prevent the plywood from flexing at the top. For installation I suggest leaving the cross bar hardware a little loose. Get the supports aligned and square, mark the holes and tighten everything up after it's mounted.

Great Product!
Super easy to install, which I was able to do by myself, with two recently operated on shoulders. I bought it two rehab from rotator cuff surgery — both done in a year — and it works exactly as it should. Like I said, it was easy to hang. I had the advantage of building my small workout room “around it,” so I was able to stud-out and really reinforce the wall supporting it. If you can, do the same. If not, get yourself a stud finder and use the included hanging template to do the job correctly. Strongly recommend product and seller!
