Certainly well packaged with bubble wrap and its own box inside the delivery box and delivered within a few days. Bought this along with several other products from various retailers as I've set up a pirate themed treasure hunt around the house for Christmas, and chose this box specifically for the padlock which unfortunately it didn't come with - such a shame. There are others on here which have a much higher quality "feel" and look better too, and if I'd have know there was no lock I'd have bought another set of the two chests, as they were marginally more expensive, contain two chests and also came a day earlier.Feels rough to tough to the touch as well, so I'll smooth it out as much as possible to avoid splinters to thumbs.People saying the clue is in the word "real" - well to be fair it is - it's made of wood, is a box shaped like a treasure chest and has a slit in the top for you to pop in pennies

I bought this, not expecting much, but was initially pleased with the product. Unfortunately, the "includes padlock" turned out not to be correct, at least mine didn't. As a result of the padlock not being included, I used a small luggage padlock I had spare and everything was fine. Sadly, the loop for the padlock to latch on to is of very poor construction and after just a few days my friends daughter pulled it off with one small yank.My overall verdict: Cheap and cheerful, nice to look at, but poor construction.

It may not be the greatest item ever made, yet on the first look it seems fine. And stylish. Wood is of rather average quality, hence the outside of this item gives better impression :). Still, it does the trick, you've got what you've paid for (unless you really expected something off Jack Sparrow's treasure lair ;). Now one need only motivation to keep on saving :)))

The padlock was rusty and the wood was very rough in places and needed sanding down to protect little fingers. OK at the price.

As soon as the courier gave me the parcel, I knew it was a bad product due to the weight, as I unpacked it, it looked nothing like the colour in the pictures advertised, it is made of really cheap wood, and to be honest, I could smash it with my fist. Not good for an honesty box. The padlock is not fit for purpose (neither is the box to be fair) so for £16.75, I feel a bit ripped off. If I saw this at a Skegness tack gift shop for £3.50, then you get the idea of how bad it is. I wish I read the reviews first and saved my money.

This is one of the most played with ‘toys’ in my Childminding setting. We have bought some ‘coins, jewels & treasures’ as well as other loose parts to put alongside it as an invitation to play

This is a low quality item. I knew it wouldn't be prime or anything like that. However, the wood is rough hewn. It is just sort of shoddy. On the whole, most people would not buy it if they could *see* it first.

My Son's mad about Pirates and giving him an actual Treasure Chest to put his "Dubloons" in will make his day.This is great little wooden chest with lots of details.Would recommend this to anyone that has kids that are into Pirates
